Alexis and Malcolm have been making music together in their band @blondediamondmusic for over 10 years, touring the world and being able to create authentically.
Meanwhile, they have both succeeded in also having other creative businesses - Alexis being the co-founder and creative director of her own agency @definitelyreal.agency , whereas Malcolm owning the screenprinting company, @pressing_matters_screenprint .
We talk a lot about how they both manage to make both careers work, in a world where it can be seemingly hard to do two things and love them equally. Malcolm and Alexis are proof that this can work, and we dive into all the details surrounding how to strike a balance and the differences and similarities between each career.

Yesterday we hiked up Mt. Unnecessary and camped on the summit. We saw the sun setting to our left as the nearly full moon was rising to our right. This morning we woke up just as the sun was coming up to start the day. Hell of a way to start my 40’s. What an unforgettable birthday.

Today would have been Trevor’s 37th birthday. It’s been almost a year since his passing. It’s still hard for me to find the words to properly express my feelings because it doesn’t quite feel real. I think about him every day, and on so many occasions wish I could just phone him up and make each other laugh the way we always did. It’s hard to grapple with the idea that I will never be able to do that again. He lives on inside of me, and I often find myself having conversations with him that only him and I could could have. Or I make jokes aloud that only he would find funny. These small little moments that connect me to his spirit bring him back to life if only for a fleeting second. It’s as if he is right there in the room with me. I love this man with all my heart and just wish I could’ve had more time to share with him. Hold your friends close, tell them you love them, show up for each other, and beyond anything else, make sure you laugh and smile together as much as possible. It’s the best thing this world has to offer. Happy Birthday Trevor. ❤️
