■ Infomation クリスマスに突如、FREE DL という驚きのリリースとなった 10 年ぶりの 4th Album「Killa Killa Inside Me」。 かつて大阪で開催されていた「2 x 4 」からのベース・ミュージック in / out、さらに「惨劇の森」での基盤はポスト・コロナ を経てさらに勢い付き、各地各国まさに bounce to the ounce に飛び回り重ねるギグ。実験と回収、その中で新たに産まれ たルードな繋がりの結実。 素晴しいラッパーを見つける先見はこれまで証明済みであり、無二のヒップホップ・サイケデリクスとアシッド・グルーヴを 前面に、古くはマック・ドレーやブギーモンスターズなど一部ヒップホップに見られる極彩色を見極め抽出。さらにシカゴ UC のような異様なマシーナリー・サウンドの新旧エッセンスを注ぎ込み、派生したジューク / フットワークやジャージーク ラブはじめ、UK ベース / レイヴ以降のサウンドへもアクセス可能な、けれどマルチであるようで完璧に制御された特異点し かない小宇宙のようなものを形作っている。まさに「遊園地」というアルバム・テーマに沿ったアップリフティングな楽しさ。 美しくベンディング・カーヴを描きながら弾けるクリスタル、しかしピーキーに耳に届く強烈なインパクト。そんなサイケデ リック B-BOY からの笑顔しか出ない最高のクリスマス・プレゼント。 Text by Michioshka (EBBTIDE RECORDS)

■ 東京を拠点に活動するプロデューサー/ DJ。90 年代末から MPC を使ったビート制作を始め、ヒップホップを軸にしながらも、 テクノ、ハウス、ベース、エレクトロニクスなどの要素を自由に横断し、独自のグルーヴを追求してきた。繊細なサンプル使いと、 抽象的でありながら身体的なビートアプローチで、ジャンルの境界を溶かす音像を提示する。これまでに 3 枚のアルバムを発 表し、多くのアーティストとの共作を重ねてきた。2025 年には約 10 年ぶりとなる新作『Killa Killa Inside Me』をリリース。 東京アンダーグラウンドのリアルな質感と、内省的な感情が交差する、Bushmind の最新モードを刻んだ作品となっている。

This mix was originally released on CD-R in 2016.
It is the third installment in the series and the final release that was available only in physical form.
It also includes a demo version of “a Day in the Acid,” making it a unique piece in the catalog.
Among the series, this is the one where the overall story and flow came together especially well—and it remains a personal favorite.Please give it a full listen.

Compared to the tracks he later contributed to BUSHMIND’s album Bright In Town and the SEMINISHUKEI compilation, this material leans much more heavily into a techno-driven sound.
Created using a ROLAND TR-808 and an AKAI MPC2000XL, these tracks still resonate with a striking freshness today, even after all these years.
BUSHMINDの実兄であり、アメリカ・ミシガン州在住のDJ/トラックメイカー・KAKUによる、2000年にデトロイトで行ったLIVE PA音源。BUSHMINDのアルバム「Bright In Town」やSEMINISHUKEIのコンピレーションなどに提供した曲とは、また違ったテクノ色の強い作品となっております。ROLAND TR-808とAKAI MPC2000XLで作成されたトラック群は、時間が経った今も新鮮な響きをもって聞いてもらえると思います。

PROFILE :
KAKU is a DJ and track maker originally from Tokyo, now based in Michigan, USA. He is BUSHMIND’s older brother.
He began DJing around 1990 and moved his base of activity to the United States in 1997. As the only Japanese artist active within Detroit’s music scene at the time, he performed numerous live sets and DJ appearances locally.
KAKU 東京出身 アメリカ・ミシガン州在住 DJ/トラックメーカー。BUSHMINDの実兄。1990年頃からDJを始め、1997年アメリカに活動の場を移す。デトロイトの音楽シーンで活動する唯一の日本人として現地で数々のライブ、DJを行う。

That year, I invited Kevin Reynolds from Detroit and organized an event with Himcast, a crew led by Mau Sniggler. I created this mix to help cover the costs of that party.
This is the second release in the series.
Compared to my more recent mixes, it features fewer edits and leans into the original tracks, letting their grooves and atmospheres speak for themselves.
