Yesterday afternoon @gardellafella and I were rewarded with the fish of a lifetime. Still processing what happened. If someone told me three years ago we’d be fighting a swordfish, I would’ve never believed them. Not too long ago I was spending three hours filleting a single rockfish…😂 @laurentylerbrimeyer knows (she is still my greatest catch) We definitely didn’t expect to catch a sword yesterday, but you always gotta expect the unexpected. Yeah, luck played a role — but luck is when preparation meets opportunity, and we were ready. Our tuna instincts kicked in and got the job done. Thanks to @davidfowlerproperties for helping us get it over the rail. Thanks for @melton_tackle@boomboom_bait_co for getting us dialed 🙏Anyways, it happened… and I couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to harvest and share this beautiful fish with friends and family! ⚔️🎣🌊

Oh man, this film was a labor of so so much love. With open arms, we were welcomed into this tiny town where we were housed and fed by the most loving residents as we captured the true essence of their outwardly dying but inwardly thriving town.
Our goal making this film was simple, to show you the effects of the drought on everyday human life... beyond the forest fires and melting icebergs you see on social media. The drought is real, and effecting those closer to you than you think. One season of good rainfall doesn’t solve the drought.
Thank you again to our incredible team who brought this to life. And thank you to our distributing partner, @shortstv@amazonprime@primevideo , for giving the story of Stratford the exposure it deserves. We are so grateful!!

A snippet from one of the most thrilling projects in recent memory. Last August, @gardellafella and I hopped aboard the SoCal squid fleet with highliner Marty Wakefield to capture a branded spot for @grundens . We spent many long nights filming all things squid in the SoCal bright. During the midday hours, we sorted through footage, and once the sun began to set it was game time. During the downtime, we dropped lines in the water and winched up some monster halibut and yellowtail for the crew. It’s always amazing when the stars align and everything fires on all cylinders. Epic time on the North Shore—from sunrise to sunset. Acai bowls and poke from Foodland on the beach, to getting caught on the inside by a cleanup set at Sunset with @gabeofsweden when we probably shouldn’t have been out there. 😆 Waimea shore break was heavy and definitely the ultimate chiropractor. Hawaii never disappoints. It’s one of the few places that makes me not want to go back home to CA. 🌊🌴
