Funding Drive is the one week of the year where CJSW calls upon listeners to give their economic vote to independent, campus & community media. Nearly every direct cost associated with our broadcast is covered by the generous support of our listenership. I know this fact well because I’m one of the people who signs the cheques for our tower lease payments, website bills, computers and everything else it takes to have Canada’s biggest and best campus and community radio station broadcasting and growing 24/7. CJSW is my favorite part about living in Calgary as I not only hear the vibrant community I live in mirrored by the station’s programming, but also for the evergreen source of new ideas, music and culture that our community needs.
