Keep reading and swipe for the deep dive: 2- Inspo: I really wanted to speak to the visual legacy of Stevie Nicks, particularly the entrancing motion of her flowing attire from live shows and her iconic tambourine. 3- Sketches: The final was my first idea but my former teachers would kill me if I didn’t have other options. I actually really liked the idea of focusing on the tambourine over a figure. The moon phase/tambo was a constant thread. 4- Paper options- wanted to use some colored paper so the illo could do it’s thing without having to accommodate a standard white backdrop…who am I kidding, I always want colored paper. 5- Early Process- starting to block and finalize the composition. the first 25% is usually where I regret every decision I’ve ever made and want to crawl in a hole. Felt like more exaggerated movement would be more powerful and liked bringing the eye down to the right corner, like a visual period on the end of the sentence. 6- @friendlyarctic laying it down on the press! I love seeing this part. Makes any early stresses well worth it. Thanks to @andybirddesign for gut checking me on the separations 7- BOOM BABY! Late posting, but here’s my 6 second contribution to Jacob Reed’s @ourfrasierremake project, which invited artists animators to recreate scenes from the Frasier’s S1 Finale “My Coffee With Niles” as an ode to the original series ahead of the reboot. Frasier is a special show for my fam, so this was a real treat. Im an amateur at best in motion and this was a doozy. Some things I’d change or could do better but, hey, that’s growth I guess. A big congrats to @last_king_2 on getting Offensive Player of The Year & FedEx Ground Player of The Year! Here’s one of a few collaborations between Derrick Henry & @hangtn that I was thrilled to be a part of during his historic season with more on the way! What a team. Derrick is passionate and Ryan at Hang TN is one of the most design appreciative, caring people anyone could work with and has a total commitment to their product. He deserves Client of The Year!

I had the incredible pleasure of working with the @nba again on some pieces for the ‘26 @nbaallstar weekend, and the honor of being included in the Art Garden, an on-site exhibit! Like my other All-Star illustrations, I wanted to include nods to the host team @laclippers ‘s visual history and the host city. Since this was the 75th anniversary of All-Star Weekend, so it was also important to leverage the weight of the occasion, as well as the first ever USA vs World format of the All-Star game. It was a thrill to see it sprinkled throughout the NBA’s socials & the NBA app, and especially mind blowing to see it animated on an iMax size screen in the Intuit Dome plaza as fans entered the arena! The Art Garden was undoubtedly the best part of the weekend. @goodalldayco put on an INCREDIBLE show, no easy feat when working with such a big entity with so many moving parts. It was amazing to meet other NBA fans and connect with other wonderfully talented and kind creatives. Also a big thank you to @staticmedium for the immaculate prints on a very tight timeline —the most stress-free printing experience I’ve ever had. A huge, HUGE thank you to @goodalldayco @goodlisssette and the @nba for taking me on the ride. To my brother @zackieboi for helping me stay on top@of everything this weekend, and to my main man @peter_erich ! Boomshakala!!

As the ‘25 NFL season draws to a close, so completes the second set of commemorative @titans Game Day pins with @hangtn for our favorite mascot @titans_trac These limited-edition pins were given straight from T-Rac’s paw at each home game for fans that follow his socials to know where/when to find him for the giveaway. The set continues to draw inspiration from old school programs covers that featured team mascots clowning one another while leaning in more with backers inspired those cover layouts. We also went with hard enamel this time to preserve a little more detail and to get that classic collector pin feel. Love doing these. Love working with these folks. Brian Wilson’s music is at the core of many of my most treasured memories. Hanging with one of my musical role models and dearest friends deep-diving into b sides and bootlegs. Singing Don’t Worry Baby with our crew at our buddy’s wedding. A spontaneous cross country trip to see him perform Pet Sounds at the Hollywood Bowl with my best friend and my brother-in-law. God Only Knows is the first song I learned on piano. The Beach Boys Greatest Hits Vol 1 was one of the first CD’s I bought. My wife’s and my first dance was to Paul Simon’s cover of Surfer Girl.
