A note from our founder.
It has always been a dream of mine to lead a team of true creatives in designing and building a fully immersive art and concert space from scratch. When this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity presented itself, I jumped on it.
2 years ago Dave showed me Building 64. When I arrived, dozens of windows were busted, the roof and floors had holes in them, and there were inches of dust on every surface dating back to WWII. Despite all the flaws, I fell in love with the building. Visions of light shows flooded into my brain.
Visions led to sketches. Sketches led to renderings. Renderings led to R&D.
The transformation began with crews pressure washing the space from ceiling to floor, shoveling out dumpsters full of muddy dust. Fires broke out while we restored electrical systems. Friends helped fill holes in the floors with concrete, build exit ramps, install emergency doors, patch roofs, and rebuild exhaust fan motors.
It took a village and a painful year of setbacks, lost revenue, exhaustion, and fights over budgets and creative direction before we finally received our certificate of occupancy.
This project has been entirely self-funded by Dave, PRIZM, myself, and countless friends. Friends like Brian, who selflessly lets us use his lighting gear, and Ryan, who stores his scissor lifts at the venue and gives us access to them.
PRIZM has reinvested every spare dollar into this project, and every dollar generated by Building 64 still goes right back into improving your experience. This year alone we added over six figures in lighting upgrades, including a 30ft video wall and dozens of new moving beamz.
Building 64 is the creative brainchild of Dave and myself, but it would not exist without the genius of the PRIZM team: Gavin, Joel, and Brian.
Our goal is ambitious. We want our name to become synonymous with places like Printworks and Red Rocks.
None of this works without you.
You buying tickets.
You spreading the word.
You dancing your face off under the lazer beamz.
