ASK R U OK? – ANY DAY | Today we acknowledge @ruokanyday , our national day of action to reach out to those who may be having a tough time. This year’s theme ‘Ask R U OK? – Any Day’ reminds us that supporting mental wellbeing is not just about today, but an ongoing commitment. Suicide rates remain disproportionately high in our industry, and we are committed to tackling this challenge through internal awareness initiatives and through the @buildcorpfoundation , which funds both crisis and preventative support programs. This R U OK? Day, the Buildcorp Foundation is proud to launch a new video series, Let’s Talk About It, featuring Professor Steve Moylan, Chair of @LifelineAustralia . Across five short episodes, he shares practical strategies for good mental health in high-activity environments like construction and beyond. In the first episode, Professor Moylan explores: - Recognising early warning signs - Managing workplace stress - The importance of supportive work cultures Creating a supportive environment begins with a simple “Are you OK?”. For more tips on how to have the conversation that could save a life, visit ruok.org.au #RUOKDay #LetsTalkAboutIt

The Buildcorp Foundation is proud to announce a $1 million investment in the Second Step® @2ndstepprogram social-emotional learning program. The Foundation is collaborating with the NSW Department of Education and @positivepieceseducation to bring a new social-emotional learning initiative to NSW public schools, supporting the social and emotional development of students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The program provides structured, teacher-led lessons that build emotional resilience, improve behaviour, and enhance learning outcomes. Delivered by Positive Pieces Education, Second Step® is aligned with the NSW PDHPE curriculum and the NSW Wellbeing Framework for Schools. It is part of a whole-school approach to wellbeing, providing resources and training for school leaders and educators. The program will be implemented with the support of @ausschoolsplus and the @publicedfoundation , building on Positive Pieces Education’s collaboration with the NSW Ministry of Health, which has been delivering Second Step® to schools across the state since 2019. To date, Second Step has been implemented in over 900 schools across Australia and New Zealand. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to equipping young Australians with the skills they need to thrive - academically, socially, and emotionally - now and into the future. #SecondStep #BuildcorpFoundation #PositivePiecesEducation #EducationPartnerships
