🌿 We love a local business that shows up for our community — and @plant4good absolutely did. They donated a sweet gift prize for our Most Stylish Mom at Mom’s Night Out for Mother’s Day. And style? To us it’s not the outfit — it’s the presence. The warmth. The way you walk into a room with curiosity and a desire to connect. Fitting that it came from a shop that has that exact same energy. ✨ Congratulations (and thank you) to Bri Stairiker from @unwind_the_mind_counseling for being selected by our collaboration facilitators for this honor. If you’re still figuring out plans for Mother’s Day, go visit Plant 4 Good in Ardmore. Take your mom. Buy her a plant. Take a workshop together. Trust me — the atmosphere alone is worth the trip. Local. Cozy. Wonderful. 🌱 #plant4good #mainlineparent

Look at these faces. 🌸 These are friends. Some of them just met. That’s what tonight was about. Not networking. Friendship. Real, warm, ā€œI’m so glad I met youā€ connection — the kind we don’t make enough time for. The kind that reminds you you’re not alone. Tonight we stepped away from the desk, the kids, and our partners. We put the phones down and just… talked. Really talked. And I’m reflecting that this is my why — I help people find each other. Build real relationships. Feel a little less alone in this season of life. Tonight reminded me why it matters so much. And honestly? It left me wanting more — more conversations, more connection, more of this. Thank you to everyone who came and gave this night your whole heart. You are why this community exists. šŸ’›

@blackbird__health sheds light on the hidden stress of graduation, especially when young adults feel stuck. šŸŽ“ Graduation is supposed to feel like a launch, but for many young adults and the parents watching them, it feels more like standing at the edge of something with no clear direction forward. What families often label as laziness or lack of drive is almost always something far more complex than it looks. For young adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, or sensory differences, the loss of school structure can make challenges that were once manageable suddenly feel impossible. Add in the pressure of social media where everyone else appears to be thriving, and shame can quietly take root, making it even harder to ask for help. Feeling stuck during a transition isn’t a character flaw...it’s a signal that something important is shifting. Blackbird Health breaks down what’s really happening beneath the surface, what parents can do right now, and when professional support makes the most difference. Their teams across the greater Philadelphia region specialize in helping young adults build the skills that lead to lasting independence. Happy May! Our Women of Influence Alumni series is wrapping up, so if someone in your life deserves her flowers, nominations for 2026 close on Mother’s Day. We’re also looking forward to seeing you this Thursday at Mom’s Night Out for Mother’s Day! @theconnectionqueenco walked into traditional networking events and felt like an outsider every single time. Too dressed up, too different, too much. Most people would’ve just found another group, but then she built her own. A few years ago, she launched the Bucks County Business Women’s Network (@bcbwngroup ) out of a simple conviction: that women in business deserve a room where they actually feel welcome, whether they’re dressed to the nines or wearing a logo tee from their job. That first meeting at the Temperance House in Newtown drew twelve women. Today BCBWN has over 2,100 members and it’s still growing. What she’s created isn’t your typical networking group, and she’d be the first to tell you that. She’s watched wellness practitioners who could’ve seen each other as competition start throwing events together instead. She’s taken meetings outside on nature walks, turned them into B-roll workshops, and hosted murder mystery nights at a pre-revolutionary mansion in Newtown Crossing. She measures success not by headcount but by whether people left feeling connected, and by that measure she’s rarely had a bad meeting. Her coaching work runs alongside all of it, helping women swap out ā€œI’m afraidā€ for ā€œI’m strong, I’m brave, I can do this.ā€ She knows what it’s like to feel shaken standing up in front of a room of peers, and she knows what it takes to work through it. She calls herself the connection queen and jokes she’s the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain. But the testimonials she gets back are everything to her…They’re the whole reason she keeps pulling the strings. Explore the stories of our Women of Influence Award-Winning Alumni and nominate someone whose story deserves to be told before Mother’s Day at buckscountyparent.com/women. šŸ’š #BucksCountyParent #WomenOfInfluence #BucksCountyWomen #DaringToBloom #BucksCounty

Is your child ready for sleepaway camp? ā›ŗļø This is one of the biggest questions parents face when summer planning season rolls around, and the answer looks different for every family. The good news is that there’s no magic age. According to licensed marriage and family therapist Shelby Riley, it comes down to whether your child feels safe and secure in the world, and whether they have successfully navigated sleepovers before. And when choosing a camp, look for one that matches your child’s interests, fits your family’s values, and if it’s their first time, then consider finding one where a friend or cousin is also attending. Overall, the benefits go far beyond just having fun...though that’s a huge part of it too! Sleepaway camp builds independence, confidence, and self-reliance. It also gives kids a healthy dose of nature, screen-free time, and the chance to work through challenges on their own. As Riley says, kids are stronger than we think they are.
