Trying to find the words to express what I want to is challenging, but I’m going to try…
I didn’t take home the prize this year, but I still feel like a winner. Being a finalist at The Wedding Industry Awards was a huge honour, and the fact that so many of my amazing couples took the time to nominate and vote for me really does blow my mind.
I had such a wonderful evening, and met some amazing suppliers who I really hope I get to work with soon. In fact, it was such a meaningful evening, that I spent all of yesterday curled up under a duvet feeling totally overwhelmed by it all.
I know it sounds cheesy and cliche, but I have to pinch myself that I’m still getting to live my cakey dream. I know I always say it, but it really is thanks to you lovely lot here. So, once again, thank you, thank you, thank you.

It’s taken over a week to work out how to explain how much my graduation and my time with the @theopenuniversity meant to me. My time as an OU student has included speeches, news articles, a pandemic, and of course, a huge cake! There was so much more to my degree than academia...
I started trying to write a post, and realised that the experience deserved a permanent place on my website.

We had a wonderful day on Saturday at the Little Channels wedding open day.
It was great to meet so many couples at the exciting stage of planning their wedding, and to have some genuinely lovely conversations throughout the day.
A definite highlight was meeting Biscuit the dog 🐶
The atmosphere was fantastic, and it was a pleasure to be alongside such a talented group of recommended suppliers and the amazing Little Channels team.
Couples were loving the new cocktail bar and the chocolate brownie tower — both went down an absolute treat!
