“Being a part of #GenBeThere means growing in love, growing in compassion, and growing in community.” 💛
As Ian shares, when more people learn how to truly be there for each other, we build a world where no one has to feel alone. There’s always someone to lean on.

“I knew someone was there for me when they took the time to really listen.” 💛
Born This Way Foundation Youth Advisory Board member @maya_adamczyk_ reminds us that support doesn’t have to be complicated. No fixing, no interrupting, no judgment. Just listening.
Sometimes, that’s what makes someone feel less alone.

Sometimes the people we love are struggling and we have no idea what to say.
That’s why we’re so grateful for the Be There Certificate. It’s a free, self-paced course from @jackdotorg and @btwfoundation that gives you the language, tools, and confidence to actually show up for someone who’s having a hard time. Friend, coworker, sibling, neighbor, niece. Anyone.
This Mental Health Awareness Month, How Are We Today is proud to join #GeneThere — a movement to prepare an entire generation on how to be there for one another.

The Hidden Opponent is proud to have partnered with @btwfoundation to share the #BeThereCertificate this school year, teaching over 300 student-athletes tools to support a peer with their mental health.✨ Here, Claire Hruby, a student-athlete mentor within The Hidden Opponent’s Campus Captains mental health leadership program, explains how lessons from the #BeThereCertificate have helped her create more caring environments for her mentees, friends, and family. 💚💛 Like Claire, other Campus Captains across the country are now prepared to Be There for teammates and classmates!

Sometimes, being there starts with actively listening. 💛
Wali grew up navigating the pressure to follow a traditional path while feeling pulled toward something different. Through honesty, creativity, and conversation, he and his mom Fariha found their way to a deeper understanding and a stronger relationship.
