Lately Iāve been thinking a lot about why art even matters anymore.
Especially now, when everything feels loud all the time and people are so emotionally disconnected from themselves and from each other.
I recently started reading *What Art Does* by Brian Eno and Bette A., and one idea stayed with me in particular:
that art doesnāt really come from one person alone.
It grows from people, shared emotions, community (even if itās not my fav word! š¬) And somehow it also creates that community back.
I think thatās part of why my relationship with performance has been changing so much recently too.
I donāt really want to just āperform atā people anymore.
I want to create spaces where people can actually enter the experience with me and affect it somehow.
Maybe thatās what art is supposed to do after all.
Not impress us. Just remind us that weāre still capable of feeling things together.
Iād genuinely love to know: what does art do for you lately? š

A few bits from busy weeks š§
Iāve spent time deconstructing the machine and rebuilding myself. Between professional and personal stuff, my brain has been confused and exhausted but also focused and always creating.
Random order:
Paintings, art sites explorations, Korean food, board games to keep my mind off bad things, gorgeous fashion creations, recording studio sessions, cacao ceremony, flowers from my garden and messy rehearsals š
Letās make something together šØ
The UK trip is officially 3 weeks away. And May 28th @liquidsounds_workshop is coming to London! š¬š§
Iām taking over @vaffancoffee a cosy coffee shop to host an intimate session on how I bridge the gap between painting and sound, how I enter my magic bubble.
You find the link in bio to join the session! Iām managing the guest list personally so just go and secure your spot š
P.S.: Iāve been reading your comments on Substack about the Spotify alternatives, thank you for not being shy! Iām answering to all of you right now āØ

Day 2 recording the EP into a studio thatās hosted the likes of Raye, Placebo, and many more..you try to keep it cool.
But standing in front of those microphones, feeling the weight of the history in the room..I couldnāt help but get a bit emotional! š„¹
Raimund has been an incredible guide. We spent hours deconstructing sounds and sharing stories.
Iām sharing the full, messy, beautiful studio diary over Substack this week. Including some of the reference tracks we talked about.
The link to join the inner circle is in bio š
Do you have a song that makes you feel youāre finally āhomeā? Tell me which one in the comments āØ
Day 1 of recording other songs for the EP to come out with @hitmint_music veeeery soon šŖ
Expectations: recording vocals for āDistance is homeā
Reality: a low vibration from the construction site next door decided to become the lead instrument š¬
I spent my day warming up for a duet with a pneumatic drill. And the drill won. See you soon for round 2 š¤£

Iām still buzzing from the @sofarsounds show at that stunning locationā¦these pics are from the genius @ozzydozzie who somehow merged me with nature into something magical. The āMirrorā sing-along was deeply movingā¦Iām craving for more of that magic! The tech issues and transportation struggles were worth it for the memories thatāll last a lifetime š«
Thanks to all the people who joined and sang with me!
Thanks to @max_bembo and @sofarsoundsmadeira for the opportunity šļø

A faceless recap of these last weeks āŗļø
I wasnāt really active on here this last month, but I pop back from time to time. I think at some point I realised that Instagram was affecting the way I feel about music and art more than I wanted to admit.
Iām still trying to understand how to stay here without losing something in the process. So Iāve been a bit more distant, and a bit more selective with what I share.
I also realised that Iām interested in different directions now, not just being āan artistā in the way I used to think about it. But building something that includes more things, more ways of connecting, more ways of working. And seeing where that goes without needing to define it immediately.
There are new songs coming out and if you are in a similar moment, Iād actually love to hear how youāre navigating it.
See you soon āØ
