Love to do this, standing on boards getting to be fully involved in different mediums has always been pure joy. Chapters close and open, and for myself and @needessentials that chapter has closed but will always be grateful for the help to bring “following the fall line” to the light.
Creative freedom and expression is essential and im so excited to be to able to work alongside Clint @boogieslidenjive on a project that is close to the heart for both of us.
Peace and love 💚
Archival shots of the most sound and dependable big board I’ve ever ridden in the way of this 12’2 Glider by my brother @ryanburchsurfboards the Board isn’t around anymore but the feeling it left with me is that boards of that size when done right can feel at times light as a feather and incredibly responsive. a true feat to accomplish when you think about 12+ feet of board and 4 inches of foam.
So grateful for all the lessons thru magic boards like these teach.

~ Part Two ~
There’s some people you meet along the way that can change the trajectory of your life. The moment I met, Bryce, I knew he would be my brother. It’s interesting how some small towns on the East Coast of Australia can build a persons character. It might be the ocean air, I’m not sure. Towns like Bryce’s give home to crew like Loz, Wiggy, Nav Fox, Sock man & Daniel Ross.
All calm, and world class in the ocean, more importantly, absolute Gentlemen.
Gathering Dust is made up of Bryce’s mums old home videos. The footage is old, but the Surfing is Hi-Fi & Hi-Flow
Support Long Format Surf Films. Our attention downs are at an average of 3secs. It’s all swipe swipe, gimme gimme. Slow Down, kid. Take it all in.
Timber Framies from a pretty Californian arvo with the epic crew. Thanks to all my loved ones and new friends in the north for the special times and memories made.. wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2025 💚 also a huge thank you to @needessentials and @ryanburchsurfboards for the ongoing belief and support to do what I love.

Say hello to Horsemouth, a 70/70 RB-JMC built for the super talented @bryce__young .
Bryce doesn't need much introduction but for those who don't know him, he is the son of Nat Young and brother of Beau. Bryce comes from an impressive surfing heritage and is an incredible surfer.
If people haven't yet seen the @needessentials film Following The Fall line, then I insist you do! You will see why I was so excited to build a mat for Bryce. The whole thing is mind-blowing, but for me, the section where Bryce is riding his Alaia is the best example of this kind of wave riding I have ever seen. I mean by a long way. This kind of inate talent leaves us normies in a state of confused awe!
So as I say... I was very excited when Bryce hit me up for a mat.
We had a chat and Bryce has been riding a mat that his dad picked up from George Greenough. We were left with a dilemma around the basic model and materials. On the one hand, these Aquaman types just jump on anything and surf it like they've been doing it for years. On the other, we didn't want to build something that felt 'too' different. I hit up George to get some info on the mat that Bryce had been riding and then after some umming and ahing we hit the spot (I hope) with a 70/70 RB-JMC Super-Free-Breather with negative elastic rocker, scaled to Bryce's height and body dimensions but with a nod to his current mat.
Horsemouth will be a big change but I'm hopeful will fit like a glove. Just a different glove.
Onto the aesthetics, Horsemouth (named after reggae legend Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace) has been dyed with a spruce green acid dye. The process has created subtle aqua and blue streaks across the beam of the mat that look lovely (if I say so myself!). Then we have gone with a green, yellow and red fade logo on the deck. It kinda looks like an apple... Yum yum!
I'm super excited to get Horsemouth and Bryce hooked up. We're just trying to figure where the mat is headed as he is super mobile currently. Oh and Bryce has just had a birthday so the perfect time for a new mat! 🎂
It's been a pleasure Bryce! Have fun mate.
Cheers
G
