Part 2 of Welcome to Derry episode 6- B&W Pennywise sequence!! What a truly fun challenge to get to create our own little world within this series. Lighting with harder light, and trying to push for a more period look was super fun.
Only partially scary whenever I flipped to colour on set and was just crossing my fingers that no one changed their minds in post and wanted to make it colour (😬🤞🤡😅) because this kind of lighting was truly not made for that.
Of course thanks to @billxskarsgaard for the insane talent he brings to this clown. @tynerrushing for being the amazing young Ingrid. Andy Muschietti and @barbaramus for the collaboration and trust. @iamjamietravis for the late night reference exchanges and truly special collaboration. Dani Vilar who set the look of the show, for also being super open and supportive.
The amazing crew of which there are so many talents, thank you for inviting me in and all your support 🫶🙏🫶
@wpagency for the continued support
A little late to the party but here are some of my fave screenshots from episode 6 of Welcome to Derry @it_official that I had the honor to get to shoot with my long time pal and collaborator @iamjamietravis . Doing this post in 2 parts because there was a lot of fun things to shoot… even before the creepy clown! It was a fun thing to play in the @barbaramus and Andy Muschietti sandbox and I truly appreciate them letting us go for it and play. Truly a family vibe where all the hardworking crew will go to bat and run the distance with this team and it’s a real joy to see it.
Plus as a kid who watched the Shining way too young and was affected by it ever since, getting to show some Dick Halloran lore was super exciting - especially when played by the amazing @mynameischrischalk
Then to get to do some epic kids on bikes stuff… the kind of films I grew up on!
@hbomax
I always bring a film camera to set and rarely do I have a moment to snap a pic. Here are a few taken on the set of IT: Welcome to Derry . I had a moment, the streets were filled with period dressed extras and I , not super successfully, tried to quickly snap some photos inspired by all the photographers of the times who I am constantly looking at for inspiration !
Wayward is coming to @netflixca September 25! Also premiering at @tiff_net this Tuesday sept 9. Spent last summer and fall shooting this in tandem with the awesome @cwrobleski . Thanks @hooraymae and Ryan Scott for bringing me along for the ride.
