Black bear 🐻. @thechrisbarron_ (singer of the Spin Doctors) brought an old half bear mount he got long ago in Alaska to the studio to get fixed up. Unfortunately, we were able to pull out almost all the fur, so it was not salvageable, except the mannequin. Amazingly I got a tanned skin that had been in another taxidermists freezer for many years unused and it was a fit. This one’s for sale in the online shop. 📷 @kathleenwhittemorephoto
I’m turning 45 today? 🤔 That doesn’t seem right. This year has been so rewarding, and challenging. Hoping for more balance this year, and to figure out what’s next.
This one went to be part of an upcoming ad campaign for @merrell . An adult fallow doe, one of the few deer species that retains its spots into adulthood.
