This is a piece I started during my time at
@flatbedpress and then finished at my desk at home, sitting with it for a while as I drew the braid. It feels like a bit of a shift in my practice. Focusing my time on printmaking led me back to working on better trusting my hand with a pencil and without a straight edge. I kinda like that this piece can either be read as things falling into place or everything blowing up. I’m trying to remind myself that often one can’t happen without the other and that sometimes both processes look the same in the moment.
And so, ultimately this piece is about the tik tok ban.
