āRavine Nightsā by @broodzone came out December 2nd, 2023. Michael and Mikey started Ravine nights with me in January 2023 as 4 heavy instrumentals that became pieces of a larger dark story. Instrumentally, this one is sort of a study of heavy, hypnotic loops. Crashing drums, walls of guitar. SO many guitars! Schoentag also amassed a pretty robust collection of field recordings (and some wild screams) that he recorded in the depths of Ravenna Parkā¦ aloneā¦ in the middle of the night. Freaky!
Assembling these clips into a haunted story over the course of the next year was really awesome. We got to play around with tons of guitar pedals and analog effects. We even broke my tape machine messing with the playback speed of track.
