Alongside the annual Black Excellence Art & Cocktail Party, I expanded the experience into a full exhibition week, creating space for art, community, and curated experiences to exist beyond just one night. At the core of it all, we spotlighted Black artists, creating a space for their work to be seen, experienced, and celebrated the way it deserves. But beyond the exhibition, I wanted to expand what this experience could be. Not just for artists but for curators and event organizers as a whole. So I blocked off my space for the week, creating space for strategic partnerships with event organizers to come in and host their own experiences within an already activated environment. A full lineup of curated moments: ✨ Artist Talk ✨ Dinner Experience by @hrollers_ ✨ Private HH for @parlor.social.club members ✨ Black Label Experience by @blackhoustoncreatives & @ccstudiosevents Different audiences. In partnership with Nia’s Daughters and the Nia Cultural Center, we’re honored to present a unique celebration of 160 years of Juneteenth in Galveston, TX the birthplace of this historic day. This curated southern cultural experience brings together a powerful blend of art, storytelling, performance, and community with an immersive celebration you won’t want to miss. We’ll kick off the evening with Act I at @niaculturalcenterinc for a powerful panel conversation that dives deep into the history, significance, and future of Juneteenth, setting the tone for a night rooted in reflection and celebration. From there, flow into the Vernissage Happy Hour hosted by @mixdupbar , a vibrant social hour at the gallery feat.
