Tomorrow the Milano Cortina Paralympic Games officially begin 🔥 And walking down the halls of CBC’s studio past the dressing rooms, I feel immense pride. To anyone strolling by, this may just be a list of names of people who are about to cover these Games for @cbc.sports . Which yes, may be true. But to me, it’s so much more than that. I see a group of ALL-athlete talent; a mix of retired and still active, winter and summer, Olympic & Paralympic. Voices that are SO crucial in telling the stories of this Milano @cdnparalympics team. As an athlete that has always had such a passion for sharing my love of sport with wider audiences, seeing other athletes chase their dreams in this space is so special. I’m SO PROUD these are the individuals you are going to see & hear from on your screens over the next 9 days. They have such important insights to share. And it won’t be the last time you’ll hear from them. I’m certain of that. I sure hope you tune in, Canada 🇨🇦 Grateful to work for the network that’s investing in the voices and growth of these superstars. They deserve it. BRITT’S BRAIN 🧠: One final reflection yesterday from Livigno. We laughed, we cried, we’re tired, yet fulfilled. A special shoutout to the @teamcanada athletes for leaving it all out there. They don’t owe the audience anything; yet with every conversation, every story, every dream come true, and even every heart break, we appreciate the moments of vulnerability. And are reminded of what sport is all about! Once every four years is such a daunting reality. Putting everything you have into one moment in time, and if it doesn’t pan out, then it’s an immediate “four more?” I just want to remind every athlete out there, you don’t have to have it all figured out just yet. Or ever, really. Just know that Canadians back home are in awe of what you’ve achieved. And there’s a little kid out there somewhere that will try your sport for the first time this year because they watched you at the Olympics. If anyone is feeling this emotional hangover now that it’s over, the @paralympics start on March 6th! So get ready! 🌟 🇨🇦 Here’s to @milanocortina2026 - grateful for the ride. BRITT’S BRAIN 🧠: Have you ran into any Canadians here to cheer that aren’t family/friends of athletes? I wanted to introduce you to two new friends of mine, Ethan & Jacob. They were such a great reminder to me of the magic that the Olympic Games bring 🇨🇦 And I’m emotional knowing they are going to be there in person as Canada goes for gold in men’s hockey. @cbcolympics #milanocortina2026 #BrittsBrain
