40?! years of care and excellence and humanity and leadership and incredibly hard work ended today for my sister and hero @atbower1 as she retired from a job she loved. She was a model for the profession of nursing and a reality check on the way we’ve degraded and under-valued the profession, to the detriment of the patient. But she’ll talk more about that in the book I’m going to force her to write. For now, raise a glass to the heart attack GOAT.

October 15 2025: The day my babies became Irish citizens! My parents gave us many gifts but our heritage and Irish souls are the biggest blessing. And to know my children will keep that connection in some way, especially as America turns its back on all things my parents valued and held dear, is a very happy day for me. Éire go brách
