Every time we drove by, I would comment on it. We followed up our reading time with a visit to the Shamrock Bar for a toast! Happy St Patrick’s Day💚☘️💚
This dive into the ADK retirement has been a dream. A real winter with 10 year high snowfall and a really delightful playmate (and a sister back and forth from her homestead. Hey @bridgetwi 💕). We still have a lot to figure out but excited for the journey.
Welcome to the First Installment of “Libraries and Libations”. I’ve always loved a library and today’s sub zero weather launched this adventure. Today we went to Lake Placid’s library set in the heart of downtown on Mirror Lake. We had rocking chairs set along a window with the view of the lake on a blue bird day here in the ADK. I had a book with me but once I found the “Classic” Section I could not resist a 1927 edition of an old favorite Eight Cousins by Louisa May Alcott for a reread. We then headed to the Boathouse where the Vibes and cocktails were very good. 10/10 for our first “L&L”
New to XC Skiing and honestly such a delight! In spite of the time we spent “Ass Over Teacup”- these down hill kids need to figure how to stop on the XC hills. #BellyLaughing #delighted
