“influence”
all the objects here are references to what has affected and continues to affect me, my mind, and my life as a human, a consumer, and an artist. if consumption is inevitable, my only hope is that consumerism can continue to be a catalyst for creation in my life; a necessary opposite and a driving force rather than a means of escape or surrender. technology, nature, substances, art, are all here on display as equal and absolute in influencing me.
this project is a product of months of ideas, hours of planning, printing, cutting, shooting, editing, and 21 years of being influenced. the medium of stop motion is also a reference to the first films i ever made and published. the song used is str8 outta mumbai by jai paul which may be my favorite song ever, and which influenced the style of this project from start to finish.

PORTUGAL IN LOVE
do you ever come back to an unfinished project after months just to realize it was finished the whole time? that’s what happened here. after all this time, everything just felt like it was right where it was supposed to be. all the distance paid off, as it always does with her.
