Family spring break. 8 years ago, we stood in paradise and promised our lives to each other in front of the people we love most. What we couldn’t have known then is how much that love would grow. How it would stretch, deepen, and multiply as our family grew, as our world expanded, as life became fuller than we ever imagined. Building a family, a life, and everything in between with you, side by side every single day, is the greatest gift. Happy anniversary to my everything, my whole world. I love this life with you. 2016 was a year of convergence. All of my paths intersecting instead of competing. I’ve never fit in a box. I graduated pre-med, but wrote my honors thesis on MTV. I’ve always had more than one passion pulling at me, and for a long time I felt like I needed to choose. But in 2016, I did the opposite. I rang in the year live in Times Square hosting New Year’s Eve. Standing on that platform, surrounded by shared hope and possibility, feeling completely alive. I was building something meaningful at Spotify as Global Head of Rock, a role I was shaping in real time. Championing artists. Curating a genre. Celebrating culture and connection. I was also live-announcing the MTV VMAs and Movie Awards, telling the story as it unfolded. And then there was CrossFit. The community that became family. I co-owned a box with my future fiancé Brian. I coached. I competed. I modeled. I hosted the CrossFit Games. I kept pushing beyond my comfort zone, trying MMA, stunt school, fencing, shadowing a ladder company, learning that fear and excitement are interchangeable. I fell in love with my work as a health and life coach, helping others sharpen their own tools and realize what they’re capable of. The best part of 2016: Brian and I got engaged in Kauai. My partner in CrossFit. My partner in life. The person who saw all of me and encouraged me to embrace all of it. Here’s what I know now: The discipline I built in the gym made me sharper at work. The presence I practiced on stage made me a better coach. The empathy I developed helping others reach their goals made me better at championing artists finding their voice. None of it was separate. It all fit together. Every part strengthened the others. 2016 showed me that being all of the things was actually being exactly right. That refusing to choose wasn’t indecision. It was integrity. And that’s still true. You don’t have to fit in a lane. You don’t have to lose parts of yourself. You don’t have to choose between passion and profession, strength and strategy, ambition and authenticity. You can be everything you are, all at once. That’s convergence. That’s where the magic happens. And that’s where you become undeniable.

So thankful for this magnificent life of ours, even if it usually looks nothing like this. It’s ups and downs, constant chaos, laughter layered over tears. It’s truly challenging times buffered by beautiful moments.
