Announcing a hometown residency 🏠🌺 NIGHTBLOOM with @brianbuttlett unfolds every Friday, 10pm at @florabarrochester 🌺🎶 a weekly night of pop-forward dance music, intentionally curated for queer folks, community and our allies. Iconic hits, edits and remixes, glittering disco + house, classics and anthems, club gems, splashes of the underground, and a garden of beats carrying you into your weekend. Outside of growing @juiceboxroc over the years, as a DJ I’ve been wanting a more permanent and dynamically queer nightlife space in Rochester to call home: to take everything I’ve been doing here, plant myself, and cultivate a special night with my sound and style. With Flora I’ve finally found that home. I’m excited to join in nurturing this brand new space for community every week, and contributing joy and serendipity to nights out for the gays, girls, theys and dance floor lovers in my hometown. BB’s first official residency 🎉‼️ “sister support” is a loving term coined by Mickey Harmon, describing the act of when our circle of friends traveled between cities to attend each other’s gigs, parties and events. Y’all know how we love to sometimes lean into the theme with the music, and with this one there’s so much to work with to make it a really fun night; I took it as an opportunity to showcase our party’s dynamism going five years strong, and my growth over the years + broad love for an array of genres and eras of music. As always I didn’t have enough time to hit all my tracks night of, so I threw the rest in as a lil protein treat for you.
