Over the last couple of years, I've occasionally whinged to myself (and to
@mslbrewis and
@eddiescottsongs ) about the lack of venues/events in Sunderland where the young, mostly solo, singer-songwriters we work with at
@wemakeculture can play original music to an appreciative audience. Well, I've now decided to stop whinging and, in classic Brewis style, do it myself.
So starting in May, and hosted generously by our pals at
@portindependent , you can expect a monthly all-ages show of original acoustic/solo/stripped-down music - some established local artists, some emerging or under-heard local artists. Heck, I might even play myself if I can overcome being chronically sick of my own shtick. Follow
