💙💛+♿️ Not every business decision is about efficiency. Some are about people. 🧠❤️
At
@brew_ability every employee has a disability. That means the bar sometimes runs a little differently… but it also means everyone gets a chance to work, belong, and shine.
As a C5 quadriplegic bartender, I’m paired with a teammate every shift. Tonight it’s my buddy Jose, who has Down syndrome. Together we run the bar. 🍻
The taps are color-coded so they’re easier to identify. I call the color, Jose pours the beer, and somehow the job gets done… usually with a lot more pride and smiles than you’ll see at most bars.
And here’s the truth most people don’t realize: this model is not the cheapest way to run a business.
Sometimes it takes two of us to do what one person could normally do.
But Brewability’s owner
@tiffanyfixter believes something radical in business…
People with disabilities deserve real jobs, real paychecks, and a real place in the community.
So when Jose nails a perfect pour and walks it over to the customer like he just won the Super Bowl… yeah, that moment matters. 🏆
Next time you’re at Brewability, remember:
The drinks are cold, the pours are perfect, and the patience you show helps make this place possible.
Support businesses that hire ability, not just efficiency. 🍻
