One day to go!
Weâre thrilled to share this with the World Wide Web tomorrow. Collaborating with @brechtplasschaert at @studiobeertje has been an absolute privilege. While mixing the new album, we danced, and couldnât stop our feet from tapping along to the tracks. This place is magic.
Ghent localsâand anyone elseâjoin us for a final preview next Saturday, May 2, before our premiere at Arenberg on Sunday, May 17. See you there.
Photo order:

Lyrics for âLorenzâ.
You were a friend. Till the end, providing confidence.
We took time to recall the start of our heart-to-hearts.
You once told me that every night out has a dawn to face. And now youâre fucking dead.
Break the waves & surf us now
& we are drawn onwards.
(Now youâre fucking dead)
Pave the way & hold the line
& emphasize what matters
(Now youâre fucking dead)
My birthday bash. Two long weeks after the funeral.
Together, we will never get drunk & sick again.
Well, you told me that every night out has a dawn to face. And now youâre fucking dead.
Break the waves & surf us now
& we are drawn onwards
(Now youâre fucking dead)
Pave the way & hold the line
& emphasize what matters
(Now youâre fucking dead)
In the end all was said, our time was spent
(Now youâre fucking dead)
Now that Iâm looking back, Iâm hardly sad
Not even for the times we could have had
âŚ
Now youâre fucking dead.
Break the waves & surf us now
& we are drawn onwards
(Now youâre fucking dead)
Pave the way & hold the line
& emphasize what matters
(Now youâre fucking dead)
Lorenz was and is my friend. He passed away 4 years ago after 10 years of being on and off the cancer rollercoaster. I learned a lot from him, and Iâm especially gratefull that he showed me how to be confident without having to resort to being an asshole.
We had long & deep conversations throughout our time together, especially so during the last half year of his life, when we painted miniatured and played warhammer as we did in our highschool years.
When I look back at our friendship I hardly feel sad: thinking about him (mostly) puts a smile on my face.
Happy birthday, Lo.
