So, the day after releaseday. Thanks for all your messages. Warmed my heart. Everything Simply began was just an idea when I reached out to Pieter Van Dessel. I knew his beautiful Marble Sounds, of course, but it was his work on How To Kill Your Sister that put him back on my radar. So I sent a mail, we drank coffee, talked about what a producer actually is, and I went to his homestudio in Brussels a couple of times. He was as open, engaged and playfully serious as I had hoped. Big shout out to Pieter for his production of this piece I wrote after al long period of nothingness.

@marblesounds kiest met 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒚 voor een duidelijke verschuiving naar 80’s geïnspireerde synthpop. De vertrouwde pianomelancholie maakt deels plaats voor meer directe popsongs en elektronische accenten, zonder het sterke songschrijverschap van Pieter Van Dessel los te laten.

In maart en april doen we een tour langs culturele centra. Na 15 jaar muziek en 6 platen wordt het niet makkelijk om songs te kiezen voor de setlist.
Wie naar een van de shows komt en een verzoeknummer heeft, mag dat gerust laten weten. Dat kan via de comments, via een berichtje of via een mailtje op (onderaan de pagina), met duidelijke vermelding om welk optreden het gaat.
We doen ons best om dit mee te nemen in de setlist.

If you’re coming to one of the shows and have a song request, feel free to let us know. You can do so via the comments, a private message, or by email through (at the bottom of the page), clearly stating which show your request is for.
We’ll do our best to include it in the setlist.

“When The Cool Kids Ruled” is the lead single from “More Memory”, an EP that builds on “Core Memory”, which we released early last year. The single is out now and the EP will be released on February 27, after which we will tour the country’s most intimate venues in March and April.
