As Pride Month comes to a close, we wanted to share a video of this year’s PRIDE Parade and After-Party, created by one of our Interns, Brooke Zevon.
Although June may be almost over, Pride continues all year. Now more than ever, we need pride, we need community, and we need to continue to show up for each other. #Pride25SavesLives 🌈
Here’s what
@brooke_.z has to say about her video:
“I made this video to highlight our amazing community and share what is most meaningful about Pride. To me, pride is authenticity, vulnerability, and community. It is recognizing the impact of LGBTQIA+ trailblazers throughout history, and honoring their commitments to the movement through our own action, advocacy, and acceptance. To have my first ever Pride parade be one filled with so much love, pure joy, and dedication to the community (even in the pouring rain), has been beyond powerful.
Thank you to my INCREDIBLE bosses and mentors,
@rustincenter , and
@brcsjqueered , for not only inspiring me with the work they do every day, but for giving me such unwavering support, guidance, and enthusiasm towards this project. I cannot wait to continue working and learning with the BRCSJ and all the marvelous people I have met so far!”
Special thanks to all of our beloved BRCSJ community members including:
