Today, we are announcing plans to lift the statewide ban on self-service gas stations in New Jersey.
We encourage New Jerseyans to familiarize themselves with gas pumps as this change is in effect immediately, April 1, 2026.
NEWS: Governor Sherrill has signed legislation to protect the Constitution and keep New Jerseyans safe.
These bills will:
✅Ban ICE agents from wearing masks
✅Protect New Jerseyans’ privacy and data from federal overreach
✅Codify the Attorney General’s directive that seeks to strengthen trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve
New Jersey – this could be the worst storm we’ve seen since 1996.
Please take this seriously, stay off the roads, stay inside, and stay safe.
Here’s how we are preparing:
✅A State of Emergency is now in effect in all 21 counties
✅A commercial vehicle ban will take effect at 3:00 PM today – February 22 – on all our highways, except the Turnpike
✅Speed restrictions of 35 miles-per-hour will take effect at 3:00 PM today, February 22
✅NJ TRANSIT service will be suspended at 6:00 PM today, February 22, on all buses, light rail, and Access Link
✅Board of Public Utilities is working with utility providers to be ready for any power outages
✅State Emergency Operations Center will be staffed 24/7
We’re tough, and we will get through this together.
Modified train schedules are in effect through mid-March as final construction advances on the new Portal North Bridge.
