There’s something uplifting to Brandon Wolfe Scott’s heartbroken songs. The Vancouver singer-songwriter, known for his work as guitarist and co-songwriter of the JUNO-nominated indie rock group @yukonblonde , earnestly searches for a brighter future on his upcoming EP.
Teaming up with Gavin Gardiner @alldaycoconut (of Juno & Polaris-nominated indie-folk outfit The Wooden Sky) and @champagnejamesrobertson (Tom Wilson , Dwayne Gretzky)—the architects behind the “slow-motion surf rock” band @moonriivr —This EP details the moment Scott’s life turned upside-down while also serving as an ode to the power of musical friendship. Stay tuned for new music later this month ✨

I wrote this song as a reminder that we need to take moments to breathe and find solace in everyday life as we must continue to bear witness to the evolving humanitarian crises that our community, local and global, are facing.
Where there’s light or hope, there is usually a darkness that sits in the shadows. 🥀

I’ve had the privilege of working here over the past year and have seen firsthand how vital a DIY community space can be. Countless incredible shows, young bands finding their footing, and a real sense of belonging.
It’s a place that’s helped build a vibrant, supportive music scene here in the city.
