HOW TO: OVERCOME SYSTEMIC OPPRESSION BY CHRIS NOLAN ()
Incredibly excited to be sharing the work of @chrispush , someone we've known for years at this point and are so incredibly excited for the impact he's making for our youth and the community. Check out the book he's been working on:
"I’m Chris Nolan Edwards, I’m alum of Morehouse College Class of 2015, and I’ve used my opportunities within school districts in different cities and states simultaneously to influence students love learning instead of being brainwashed to resent it. I did this for many years on the platform of being a substitute teacher. I’ve impacted the city of inglewood, Compton, Los Angeles, Atlanta , NY, and Houston. I’m currently full time teaching in Houston, but while being a substitute teacher I’d teach life lessons geared towards making students more conscious of conditioning as well as instilling a thirst 4 knowledge. I then turned those life lessons into poetry(not literally) and added original artwork to spread the idea / message further."

we had the opportunity to stop by with a couple flowers for the brilliant artist @njogu.kuria , who shared his inspiration on the pieces and angles, and stories and spirituality poured into his #WatchDogsOfTheNight exhibition with the continual community supporter, @munyu_space . Outside of the multiple textures, stories and cultures represented. Njogu really gives us another chance to view the world for ourselves. Almost like a reminder of the versions of Heaven and Hell that we experience in THIS lifetime. Incredibly thankful, and so many more of these interviews on the way. EXHIBITION OPEN UNTIL THE 28TH OF THIS MONTH
I love how metaphorical nature is, kissing us with it's gentle bloom. Consoling us, through it's transformative rain. This has been one of my most vibrant seasons of 'letting everything behave as it desires', and it's been quite the formidable teacher, I admit. But one of the constant realizations that has come to me, is through a re-reading of my astrology that led me to understanding, some, myself included, may simply be here to be stepping stones for others in our journey. And for a moment, this really, perplexed me in all of the ways. Until I recognized the agency of my choice then, if I was to be a stepping stone, what would the stone be made of? And as I've learned that even a stepping stone can stay golden, I've found hints of that within myself. So this celebration of nature is for the golden stepping stones. Finding grace and honor, and inspiration to commit, by simply being a supportive stone for others. I love y'all. Love everything, acting according to its nature. <-- that's the next layer.

WANNA LEARN/TEACH HOW TO PAINT/PIANO/GUITAR/ART/ETC??
Well, over the past few days I've had a chance to sit down with Rachel, the founder of @artiv.hub , a Nairobi based creative center that works to teach, mentor AND provide employment opportunities for creatives in Kenya. Sitting with their studio producer @noelgrass , their young painters, and clientele. I felt refreshed to see such an incredible program with such a gifted founder at the lead. When I first met Rachel, she was playing the grand piano shes sitting next to in the photo, as a wonderful analogy of truly being a student to the work she's doing.
This is one the orgs you're excited to share because they're going to change the world regardless, we're just happy to say it looks like we may end up being a stepping stone on that journey. Keep it up! Stay Cultured, stay inspired.
