Four years of hard work, persistence, and dedication.
On May 7th at 9 AM, I will be graduating from Georgia State University with my Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Production, along with a minor in the Georgia Film Academy. It still feels surreal to even say that.
I’m beyond thankful for every professor who extended deadlines, every classmate I’ve collaborated with, and most importantly, my parents, who stood beside me every step of the way through my college journey.
Throughout these years, I’ve worked on TV shows, short films, commercials, music videos, and even my first feature this year. It wasn’t always easy; it was exhausting at times, but through it all, I leaned on God and kept pushing. Becoming one of the greats is and has always been my goal, and pushing through is what I know best.
To every crew member I met along the way, thank you for trusting me, even while I was still a student, to get the job done.
A special thank you to Assembly Studios / Gray Media for being my second internship. Through that experience, I discovered a deeper level of creativity within myself that I hadn’t seen before. Thank you for pushing me, believing in me, and giving me an incredible cohort I’ll never forget.
To all of my mentors, Drayton, Kendall, Austen, Mr. Larke, KellyAnn, and so many more, thank you for seeing me, challenging me, and truly believing in my talent.
This degree is bigger than me. It’s for my family, the people who have always been by my side, who saw my gift early on, and never stopped loving and supporting me. I owe this to you. ❤️
