This piece is about the tension between mental and physical reality as we sit in the cocoon of what is in front of us and what is to come. It depicts birth, life, death, faith and metamorphosis. The fetal position, a state that I was in for 9 months and revert back to when I need the comfort and encouragement of my dreams. My hand is in steadfast prayer. My prayers grounding me, my visions swirling about waiting to be materialized. Ever-changing, impermanent, textured, unruly. The presentation of the piece is meant to create tension, potent and unresolved. Much like us all as we grow into who we are meant to be.
