Super excited to announce I’ll be making a long-awaited return to where it all began for an amazing day of tunes courtesy of the homies Depth 🙌 Not only am I blessed to be playing alongside some of my favourite artists and oldest friends, but the open air event in the lush rainforest foothills is also totally free to attend, so there’s no barrier to everyone coming along for a dance. I’ve been more than a little quiet on the DJ front of late, but as we approach the 20th Anniversary of Open Records later this year, I’m super pumped to be back doing what I love again. I actually had the pleasure of releasing the first ever GMJ tune on Open way back in 2008, so it’s a nice full circle moment with my old mate Gav as we head towards the big milestone celebrations. A couple of Sundays ago we had the absolute pleasure of playing the mighty Vertex stage at Earth Frequency’s 20th Anniversary Edition at Woodfordia. Sandwiched between Sun Control Species, Antix and D-Sens, it was a quintessential Earth Frequency Sunday session and a fitting celebration of two decades of Queensland’s longest-standing and best-loved festival. It was a special moment for both of us, but especially Jesse. Not only are they three of his biggest inspirations since the early days of his DJ career, but they were also the first artists signed to Open Records for his debut compilation Slow-Release in 2007. To play alongside them again at such a milestone was truly an honour. After days of sweltering heat and humidity, the skies finally opened late on Sunday afternoon. Rain poured as the storm hit, but instead of clearing out, the crowd went wild. At one point they were screaming so loud you could hear them over the booth monitors and headphones! Then disaster struck. Midway through our sixth track, Weekend Heroes’ classic Fear Factor from Open Records’ Expansion Pack, the sound system went down. The crowd stuck around (still screaming, no doubt!) but eventually thinned as the crew worked to fix it. They got things running again and we finished our set minus booth monitors, cutting it short to stay on schedule. The energy returned with the crowd and we were stoked to close with a couple of Will’s brand-new tunes. Massive thanks to everyone for your incredible vibes through rain and silence alike, to the EFF production crew for getting us back on track, and to Paul Abad for giving us the honour of that Vertex timeslot. We’ve re-recorded the set as it would have been, live and in one take, on a pair of ageing CDJ-900s with a broken cue button on the left side. Apart from a touch of volume normalisation, we did very little post-production, so it’s as raw and real as if we were there. Listen now on Soundcloud and let us know what you think in the comments! We’re absolutely stoked to be returning retuning to the mothership for Earth Frequency Festival’s 20th Anniversary Edition! Earth Frequency isn’t just another party. It’s the beating heart of the Australian doof community and Queensland’s longest running electronic music festival. To be blessed to perform in such an amazing timeslot at the event where it all began for us is an absolute honour, especially to celebrate the 20-year anniversary. Sundays with Cioz and a Void Acoustics Soundsystem are the best kind of Sundays! The good folks at Summer Loop are really onto a good thing. Today in Bakery Lane was a proper vibe and it was an absolute honour to be able to play tunes after one of our favourite artists in the world right now. Hats off to everyone involved in putting this one together and thanks for having us. Bring on Township Rebellion at Wonderland in a month’s time, we’re even more excited now!

Two weeks to go until we get to support one of our favourite artists right here in Brisbane! To say we’re pumped is an understatement. Cioz is without a doubt one of the most innovative producers in the world right now and the chance to experience him live in an open air party in the heart of the Valley is nothing short of a treat. Big ups to the good folks at Summer Loop for bringing the big guns to Brisvegas!

Throwback to that time Will thought he was playing at Love Camp but Love Camp got moved to the Elements Festival main stage 😆 It was the first time he dropped the title track to his album Perspective to a festival dancefloor and the crowd literally went wild. All time 🙌

Is it possible to have two bookings of the year in one 12-month period? If it is, we think our good friends at Summerloop might have just done it. Cioz is absolutely one of the most innovative artists in the world right now and we are over the proverbial moon to be joining the line-up at this awesome day party in one of our favourite stomping grounds, Bakery Lane. At least we can play some Township Rebellion at this one 😂 Let’s do this, Brisbane! 👌

We are honoured to announce that will be on warm up duties for the mighty Township Rebellion in Brisbane in September. Anyone who has caught one of our sets knows we are huge fans of the German maestros of melodic techno and we are beyond pumped to be put on support duties. The only tough thing will be we can’t play any Township Rebellion! Big thanks to Atta and the good folks at Summer Loop for having us! First round tickets have already been snapped up, so make sure you grab one early before they are gone. Bring it 🙏

Wow… what an honour to be included in this spectacular first line-up drop for the 20th anniversary of Earth Frequency Festival. There really are no words… Not only do we get to play the most important event of the Australian festival calendar, but we get to do on the same line-up as the one… the only… SUN CONTROL SPECIES!!! Despite the fact Will never had the chance to experience SCS live in his heyday, both of us have tried our best to keep the music of the undisputed king of the Australian bush alive through our sets. We never thought we’d have the pleasure of experiencing his music how it’s supposed to be, LIVE and on the Earth Frequency dancefloor, but here we are. Add to this Antix, Krumelur, D-Sens, Twisted Sibling, Metodi Hristov, Sensient and so many others who have been part of our musical journey, the big 2-0 is going to be something else. Buckle up people, this is going to be one for the books!
