@dreamtheaterofficial - @thefortitudemusichall 15-2-26 Review 🗓. Arriving at 6pm, we were met with a massive line of fans snaking down Brunswick Street - a clear sign Brisbane was ready for something special. Despite the crowd, the vibe was upbeat and full of anticipation. Credit to The Fortitude Music Hall and its staff for moving everyone inside quickly and efficiently. With no support act on the bill, the streamlined entry made the whole experience feel seamless and set the perfect tone for what was about to unfold. Making our way up to the mezzanine, my brother and I secured the perfect vantage point to take in the full stage production. The band opened with Metropolis Pt. 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper, immediately igniting the crowd, before launching into my personal favourite, Act I: Scene Two: I. Overture 1928 from Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory. As a drummer, that track is an absolute belter that’s tight, technical, explosive it instantly sent longtime fans into a frenzy. Act 1 felt like a celebration of the band’s legacy, packed with deep cuts and fan favourites that rewarded those who’ve followed them for decades. After a well timed 20minute intermission, the band catapulted into Act 2 with renewed intensity. The second half showcased material from their latest release, blended seamlessly with playful nods to Pink Floyd and Metallica, adding an extra layer of nostalgia and musicianship to an already stacked set. Following a brief exit from the stage, the encore delivered exactly what the Brisbane crowd had been waiting for. The band returned to close the night with an emotional tear-jerker before launching into their smash hit Pull Me Under, sending the venue into one final eruption and capping off a masterclass in progressive metal performance. As a fan who had wanted to see them live for years, I left genuinely impressed by what I had witnessed. Absolute class from every musician on that stage — a true masterclass in progressive metal. 10/10

How stunning is this? 🤯 The storm rolls over the Glasshouse Mountains towards Woodfordia on the Sunday of our 20th Anniversary, just before the skies opened and the festival exploded in a moment of pure energy! Just wow. 📸 @litmediaproductions

How epic is The Atrium from the air? 😱 When @alchemy_decor created this amazing shade structure for us in 2022, Asher said it was the most difficult and complex he’d ever created. It’s not hard to see why! It’s absolutely stunning, jusy like this amazing drone shot by Sam from Lit Media Productions. 📸 @litmediaproductions
