THE NOCTULE In this unsettling short film, a bat obsessive listens to an echolocation device to track his favourite species - The Noctule. The haunting sounds of the bats lead him deep into an abandoned barn and finally onto a surprising discovery. Incredibly pleased to announce my latest short film with the amazing Frank Bourke who plays our peculiar protagonist incredibly. You Are Are Here Now - preview/trailer Here is all the exciting first time filmmaker energy bottled up into a little preview/trailer - look at our joyous faces. This is all of us prepping to run around following @sam_papidas , @claudsclaudss , and our bewildered protagonist, played by @clementelohr The trailer takes place as we finish one of our takes and all rush back to starting positions for another go at it (not many notes from the director apparently). The whole thing was a great exercise in filmmaking but also was literal exercise too as the crew - who were acting as the crew in the film - had to run across the set to be in place for both scenes where they are visible. Some great acting by everyone & a lot of commitment too! You can watch the full film in my reels or visit my website! Really happy to say Settle will be screened in Manchester on the 28th September at 7PM. There will be a special Q & A with myself and Ella Bruccoleri! Very proud that @settle_film screened as part of @brightonrocksfilms film festival last night to a sold out audience and alongside some incredible other films! Here is myself, @marknobleactor & @joeswainson enjoying the screening in Brighton beachfront. @boyvark has made us a very cool lyrics video for Whistling to Himself, after having filmed the car in front, driving through the Yorkshire Dales in the night to return an accidentally stolen pair of car keys. The song became a product of that dream - for me, it was about the feeling of looking to someone for help and protection but finding them passive. When recording, I had run out of lyrics and I suddenly remembered I had the dream written down, we kept the only take. Love, Ella" 🚗

Hello! I can’t believe it but the Settle kickstarter hasn’t been live for a week and we have already surpassed our goal, reaching over £1500!!! I have to say the generosity of everyone has been so incredibly felt by myself and my team. It was also really touching having a few people message to say that the description of the film really resonated with them, so thank you everyone for being so interested and kind. Because we still had 3 weeks to go I had quite a few more posts planned including introducing you to all our cast and crew as well as releasing some stills and BTS from the film. Though I have hit the goal I would still like to share these with you and tomorrow, to give the best impression of what your contribution is going towards, I will post the official trailer! Having now achieved our target we will be able to send the film to lots of prestigious film festivals with the chance it will come to a cinema near you! Any additional money will go towards more film festival submissions and ways of promoting the film (website, posters, press pack and more). However because we have reached our target please do not feel obliged to continue donating, I am already so happy with the money raised. I am so looking forward to everyone seeing the complete film that you all have now had a part in, I will update everyone with screening dates. Link in bio for the kickstarter page!
