Had the chance to go to the land of my grandfather to experience the beautiful Vilnius and some of its glorious countryside.

Now it's all over for another year, just wanted to wish all my friends a fulfilling, hopefully prosperous and above all, healthy new year.
Many have had it tough.
It's been sh*t at times.
And losing loved ones, well, that's the worst. Most of us have been there.
They're part of you, carry them in your heart and hang in there.
Keep busy, try kicking some old habits if they're not healthy and do something new, we can all get a bit stuck.
Above all be kind to yourself, because sometimes life will give you a stupid hat to wear.....but it's NOT for ever.
Unless you're Santa of course, in which case you're screwed.

On a quick break and just had to re-visit. In 2005 was lucky enough to spend a couple of months here filming Blackbeard.
2014, shortly before he died, my father casually announced that my great grandfather was a soldier in the British army in Valetta, probably Fort Rinella right by Malta Film Studios and married a Maltese woman.
What? Dad, what?? Now you tell me?
Followed a hundred questions, no answers.
Realised I was even more of a mongrel than I thought!
Really should chase it up. I love it there and the people are so friendly. I'll be back.
BTW, loose end tonight? All Creatures, Channel 5, 9pm for some gentle TV.
