First
@wildfire_manwurrk_band shows outside of the NT done at the beautiful
@nannupmusicfestival in WA ✅
Hugely proud of the boys and the way they represented themselves and their culture!
Thanks everyone involved with the Festival but in particular
@phaedrawatts for not only booking the band but for making them so welcome and supported while still running the entire festival with such joy and grace 🤍
I am still so humbled by the friends that helped the boys when they needed it so thanks to
@tomcd @rubyfieldsm8 and
@greg_jard for the guitars,
@lastdinosaurs for the
@nautcases to fly them in and
@ainetyrrellmusic for running the case down from Brisbane.
Thanks to
@wildmarmalade for the offer of a didgeridoo loan that we ended up not needing when
@didgeridoobreath kindly gifted the boys a didgeribone and clapsticks 🙏🏼
Thanks to
@kangarooswithmachineguns for the strings and tuner and for having
@leo_rostronx01 join you for a song and we really appreciate all of the kind words and support from the other bands and crew who also provided such great sound and music for the whole weekend!
Sending love and gratitude to all of the other legends that have contributed and been a part of the journey so far and rest assured the Wildfire has only just begun to burn 🔥
Last and in-no-sense-of-the-word least, I am in awe of
@sun.people.creative and the sheer tenacity with which she won’t allow the myriad of structural, logistic and cultural barriers that make it so hard for remote First Nations people to bring their art and culture to the world stop the boys sharing their music and message - it’s an inspiration to watch and an honour to be a part of ✊🏼
Victorian leg up next - more info soon!
Yo Kamak! 🔥🤘🏼
