These ladies and @samwoehrmann ’s “We Be Bezelin’ workshop) have convinced us to add gold to our fabricating plans. ✨ This was a really special weekend, spending 3 days in the studio with 12 talented students and the best teacher ever to help calm our gold bezelin’ nerves! 😮‍💨👏

SQUARE WIRE 3/4 HOOPS | *Yes, I made up “Hoop Day”, but it seems appropriate that it falls on Hump Day, no? Anyway, welcome to the newest addition to the 3/4 Hoop Family — Large! Like the Petit and Mediums sizes, these Large hoops (okay, they’re not objectively by most hoop standards, I realize, but they are the biggest sibling in this small family 🤗) have a brushed satin finish and are effortlessly easy to wear. If you’re a low-maintenance earring person (like me), you probably need a pair of these in your corner. They reflect nicely, feel weightless, and go with absolutely anything. The next class I will be teaching @bouldermetalsmithing is going to be a “Bezel Setting Bootcamp” June 13-14th This class will help to gain graver control sharpening skills and confidence at the bench. Make your own tools for finishing and learn to set various stone shapes using a pulse graver and microscope. Understand the nuances around bezel setting fancy shapes and brush up your techniques to achieve crisp bezels with bright bevels and clean corners. This isn’t just a workshop. It’s an opportunity to learn from decades of material knowledge, craftsmanship, and technical mastery shaped through fire, pressure, pattern, and process. Anne Wolf earned her BA in Applied Design and MFA in Jewelry/Metals from San Diego State University and her mokume gane work is now held in the permanent collection of the Metal Museum. Her work has been exhibited across the U.S. and internationally, including Germany and Japan, and was awarded a Bronze First Seat by the NBSK in Japan. Anne also studied under internationally respected Japanese metalwork masters including Ford Hallam, Hiroko Sato-Pijanowski, and James Binnion. We are beyond thrilled to have her in our studio for 3 days in June. Don’t miss this! 🔗 in bio

I’m the Digital Marketing Director because I know marketing & branding, not because I know metalsmithing. 😅 Hi I’m Tiffani, and you’ve seen me at classes capturing content. But this year my goal is to take more classes and become a metalsmith. I’m so inspired by the teachers and students who come to the studio and the magic, joy & community that’s created here! @cdimonddesigns is the best teacher and his Fire Forming class was perfect for a beginner like me. Because there was no soldering or bezel setting it was all about playing with silver and the torch. The whole point is to melt silver (which I CAN do 😬) into organic shapes and if you mess up (which I did) you just start again! I’m so excited to see y’all in more classes for even more 🔥, 💍, 😮‍💨, & 📸

We couldn't be more proud to honor them with this award. By inviting the community into their studio, they gave people the chance to experience metalsmithing up close—ask questions, see the process, and connect with the artists behind the work. What they’ve built goes beyond classes and studio time. It’s a space where people at all levels can learn, experiment, and feel part of something—whether they’re just starting out or continuing to grow their craft. This year’s response from the community was incredible!! Voting increased by over 550% compared to last year.
