What a fabulous afternoon!
We only got around a few of the @mahurangiartist Trail sites of 2026 today and didn’t get nearly enough fan pics (especially at The Grey House!) as we got distracted with chatting and admiring but saw so many wonderful pieces of art and beautifully made functional ware.
Its on for another week! We'll be heading back mid week to see some more ✨️❤️

And more!
Congratulations to Cat Thompson of Tauranga. Her work ‘Shards of the past’ won the Bot Pots Merit Award at Waiclay 2025 on at Waikato Museum until 23 March. Cat says of her work “By combining traditional techniques with experimental reclaimed and recycled past work, it honors both the history of what was and now reimagined to what it has become.
Symbolic of fragility even after breakage, this way the piece becomes both a vessel and a storyteller, holding memories of the past.“ #recycledart #meritaward #botpots #nzpottery #nzceramics
