Love & Basketball… Where did this concept even come from? As a brand, I am committed to intention and authenticity. I am fully aware that my weddings are unique. My style is bold, vibrant, colorful. It’s not cookie cutter. And you know what? That has scared the crap out of me… This year, I am committed to trusting myself as a designer and leaning into what my gut is telling me. This shoot came from my relationship with basketball. I played basketball for 7 years. I went from not being coordinated at all to suddenly being scouted in eighth grade to train with high schoolers. By the end of my freshman year, I was on varsity. I wasn’t the best player, but I had grit. I had power. And that’s something that has carried me through the last 13 years. This shoot is that energy. It’s discipline and softness. Structure and emotion. Edge and intention. A reminder that design doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s to be beautiful. It just has to feel like you.
