I absolutely ADORED working with Erica and Nick from their invitations down to the very last detail and thank you card. They had such a beautiful vision from the very beginning and I’m so excited to share their invitation suite đŸ€ We delicately sealed their ribbon with wax and featured their venue front and center. The focus was on organic textures and layers pulled together with an airy, organic color palette of my dreams. Can’t wait to share their gorgeous day of details in another post! But if you can’t wait either, you can see more beautiful images captured by the talented @ericastreelman up on the ol’ blog as well as featured on @loverly đŸ€ xx dani Venue @cielofarms Photog @ericastreelman Planning @intertwinedtori @intertwinedevents Stationery + Day of @itspapercliche Floral @the_madflorist Video @weddingsbycraftedcontent Featured on @loverly

I absolutely adored working with A+A on their invitation suite đŸ€ The perfect muted color palette, layering, and embellishments. We customized the Georgia with blind letterpress, die cut shapes, double thick cards, and a gorgeous fine art envelope liner for their Southern California soirĂ©e.

Just over here living vicariously through the most epic gallery by @lamomentphotography đŸ€ Isabel and Wade’s Italian weekend celebration is now up on the blog and I’m in love. I designed the paper goods and signage for four stunning events styled by @wildeandsageco . Each event came complete with a Tuscan rolling hillside backdrop and I’m still obsessed with every last detail 🌿 Venue: @podere_tesoro

Wedding stationery advice I would give you if I were not afraid to hurt your feelings đŸ–€Give yourself more time. Like a lot more. High end stationery is a beautiful collaboration with multiple moving parts and intricacies. It takes time to collect information, design, proof, revise, print and produce, assemble, and mail. Plus, if you’re reaching out to an experienced stationer, they can often be booked out months, and in some cases, years in advance. đŸ–€If you splurge on one thing, let it be letterpress. No one has ever regretted letterpress. đŸ–€Start working on your guest list addresses as a first order of priority. Finalizing your list always takes longer than anticipated. Submitting it to your stationer incorrectly or late will cause production delays. And no one is coming to your wedding if you don’t invite them. đŸ–€Lurk your stationer online and social media. Style is subjective and personal. Make sure your style aligns with theirs across the board or you may not end up with a final product that you love. Good reviews are nice to see as well. đŸ–€Please don’t buy vintage forever stamps off of a janky website selling them for pennies. Think of postage as currency. If usps detects counterfeit postage, they may just toss your mail instead of returning to sender. đŸ–€A helpful way of thinking about your wedding stationery is that you are commissioning someone to create custom art especially for you and for a one time use (your big day!) and how neat is that! You can expect the hard costs and time associated with small quantity custom and semi-custom work to differ drastically from art that can be mass produced or sold at scale. đŸ–€Experience matters. This is true in most industries, but if a stationer is undercharging, it may be because they do not have enough experience to guide you through the process in a stress-free and enjoyable manner (and trust me, your wedding stationery is a lot more complicated than just pretty pieces of paper). This is not to say that there isn’t literally a price point for every budget! Just something to keep in mind when comparing value and the level of service you’re looking for. xx dani

It’s here. The day that literally no one but me has been waiting for đŸ–€ To celebrate a decade of PC, it was high time for a refresh (I graciously won my previous branding on an instagram giveaway a little over 5 years ago). And after coming to the conclusion that not only do I not possess the fortitude for a name change after ten years of back links, tags, and SEO; I am way too sentimental to give the name up. (even if it was originally intended to be a cheeky knock on the wedding industry before I was fully immersed 🙃) So instead, I enlisted the help of my dream brand designer @ladybcreative to bring a little more depth and beauty to the Paper ClichĂ© vibes. To me, it feels like a better reflection of the work that I strive to produce. I especially love the little emblem nod to how it all started– an antique calligraphy nib. I’ve been working behind the scenes during the rebrand process to perfect our semi-custom offerings and making sure that our couples have everything they need for a personable, enjoyable wedding stationery experience from start to finish. I know that our couples are interested in invitations that are slightly off the beaten path and also, most importantly, because luxury is more than just a pretty logo andđŸ€ But let’s be real. Visual communication is key to implore the algo gods in reaching the humans that we align with. Especially when all of our attention spans are dwindling to seven seconds max. So here is my offering to the moody and the meaningful. Let me know what you think about the new look 😘 Unless you are mean. Then keep it to yourself. xx dani “A good rule of thumb—if your heart is not on the line, the work is not the work you were meant to pursue.” -Steven Pressfield

Often confused with place cards, these little beauties, however small in size, are the heavy lifter of your wedding reception. Unlike a seating chart (which stays put), escort cards are individual pieces—usually arranged in some type of display on a table or installation at the entrance of your event—that guests pick up and take with them. They feature the guest’s first and last name and their assigned table number.  Alternatively, the escort cards can stay in place in their display, and a separate place card can greet the guests at their tables indicating which exact seat they are sitting at. The latter is preferred when dinner is plated to avoid confusion with meal indicators. Pros: These beauties travel and/or ship easily opposed to a large seating chart sign or install. They are luxurious but understated (which is our jam). They can be as simple or elaborate as you want. Like calligraphing names on bags of pasta from the couple’s favorite local Italian restaurant or hand painting individual tambourines. That was one was especially a labor of love. Cons: Simple tented cards may not work well for some outdoor events. You will want to figure out a creative way to secure them so that your guest’s seating assignments are not blowing in the wind. Swipe for more inspo from paper clichĂ© and save for later đŸ–€

Delicate keepsakes you’ll cherish forever đŸ€ When the food has been eaten and the flowers have wilted
your invitations will be the only tangible memory you can hold in your hands. In a digital world, the weight of pillowy cotton card stock and the tactile impression of letterpress are all the more meaningful. In my humble, completely biased opinion, of course đŸ€ As someone that gets to design paper goods all day, I can confirm, invitations spark joy for both the sender and the recipient âšĄïž xx dani @kendallaubreyphoto @wildeandsageco @maisondesoliviersofficial
