The reason why we bought two Grove GMK6450-1s, explained by Adam Courtney, SEQ General Manager:
“The addition of the Grove GMK6450-1s to our fleet is strategic. At the end of March we took delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 which will be permanently based in Queensland.
When we look at our mobile capabilities we start with the 650-ton all terrain crane and move down a 500. Then we go to the new Grove 450, and then the 350, and so on down to a couple of 250s and then 150s and below.
We’ve now got a 650 boom-on boom-off machine and it’s the same with the 500. We now go to the 450 in the fleet and this is where we were short in capacity. Prior to the Groves we went from the 500 to a 350. So now we’ve got very good capabilities at the high end to be able to look at infrastructure, a 650 and 500 for dual linking bridge beams or whatever the project may be. We’re also keeping the 650 for wind farm maintenance work, plus infrastructure work, plus whatever else.”

The LTM 1350-6.1 was deployed to assemble a crane for a stunning new residential development project in Bowen Hills, which has successfully preserved the area's original heritage.
This is a classic job we carried out for @ksch_group that contributes to the preservation and development of housing in Australia.
This Comansa 36T luffing crane is now in place for The Abbotsford by @binahconstructions , marking another key step in getting this project underway.

📺 WATCH our latest video on BORGER CRANES YOUTUBE CHANNEL- Borger Cranes brought a 600 tonne Terex Demag CC2800 1 to Penrith Stadium to help @johnhollandgroup install the new eastern grandstand roof. We lifted 172 structural elements, which have been preassembled on the ground into 24-metre-long roof sections. Some of these sections weigh up to 70 tonnes, and this method improves safety, precision, and efficiency during installation.
The finished welded beam roof now covers more than half the stand, and will improve the match day experience for fans.

In April 2024, the LG750 was installed in the car park of the future Pimpama Station (Queensland).
The biggest and most impressive part of this project was the installation of a pedestrian overpass connecting the two sides of the track. We carried out this project in partnership with ADCO to give a new dimension to the Gold Coast Line, linking Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
Pimpama Station is not just another station. It was the first new addition to the South East Queensland rail network in nearly a decade.
In October 2025, the station finally opened to the public. We returned to see everything Borber Cranes had achieved on site. It’s incredible to think that there used to be nothing here at all.
