Today was bittersweet. We laid to rest my last living grandparent (Nana). I’m so grateful for your generosity and compassion shown for all. I pray to live in a manner that honors your legacy and makes you proud. I’ll always cherish who you are to me. It was an honor today to learn how much you meant to so many. I’m so excited that @essence HBCU Classic is coming to Boston, Saturday, Aug 30th. I am so grateful for everyone who partnered with me to secure this earmark in our Commonwealth’s budget. Thank you to Mayor @wutrain , @cityofboston Director of Sports, Tourism, and Entertainment @bordersiv , the @mablacklatinocaucus for their support and advocacy, and of course HWM @repmichlewitz , Speaker Ron Mariano, and our Gov. @maura_healey for this investment, which will generate so much revenue for our Commonwealth and support local businesses throughout the state.
With everything happening in the world, we deserve some #blackjoy!
