It’s been an incredible and memorable partnership over the past two years where we work together to bring her ultimate vision to life. @iamluck has worked so hard since being a little girl for the exact right situation to come— and now the time has come. The world is here too— needing @iamluck as an artist. She’s a very talented and particular artist, so everything is meticulously thought of and exists for an intentional reason— but an incredible collaborator with the people she trusts. She’s made me such a better artist myself in many ways sharing space with her and we always have fun doing it. In whatever part I’ve been involved, I’ve been inspired by what she’s brought to the table. So exciting to watch people discover what we’ve all been working towards for a while now. Very excited this project I produced is now out today as a Netflix original series! This project took a very long time to get to the finish line as we started it years ago. When I first started working with @bootleguniverse on this, it was coming off of making POWER/RANGERS together. This was really some of my earliest formative times in film. @bootleguniverse is extremely creative and always tries to push things to the point of having to question everything which is definitely respectable and makes you ask the important questions. The most I learned from this project is how it broadened my horizons of the ways to make a positive influence in the world through film. My mantra is as simple as wanting to make dope shit with dope people and this project solidified that. The ability to bring resources and people together and make a vision come to life is what producing is— and on this project we definitely did that. Big congratulations to everybody who put so much of their time into this.

Almost a year and a half ago, Ted and I decided we wanted to start a music label. I came across @iamluck on the internet. What caught my eye was her aesthetic matched a very unique sound of rock meets alternative RnB— kind of with a pop flair. She was wearing these oversized dark clothes with dark sunglasses— but had a powerful, opera-trained voice. I showed Ted and he was like “where did this girl in the snow come from ????”. So we decided to meet Luck and soon started working with her. I figured out she was going in a direction I could see a future in. I knew all I had to do was find a way to support her vision. I’ll never forget being locked up in my house for 2020 during the pandemic and being excited many evenings when Luck and @venessamichaels would send me new songs in a group chat which would be shortly thereafter called “My Goons”. After knowing Luck for her talents, I could hardly believe it as I soon learned she’s also the hardest working, and easiest— but very strong artist to work with. She harnesses all the power and energy in her world into her music snd performance. It is clear not only was she was born to do this, but has worked for this almost her entire life and evolved in a way where this is undoubtedly her time. It’s about to be magic 🧙🏻‍♂️. We believe in her and now everyone else is starting to see why… yesterday we released our first single after over a year of working together and she captivated everybody in the audience with her performance at the release party. Simply put, Luck is one of the most compelling people and tapped-in spirits— one of which exists in this world and another world. There’s so much more exciting stuff we’ve developed and continuing to work on we can’t wait to share. This is the beginning.
