Here are photographs by Julius Shulman of John Lautner’s most iconic architectural works.
Lautner’s legacy remains a defining force in American architecture. Shulman helped shape how that legacy was seen and ultimately remembered.
Lautner’s buildings were bold, futuristic, and often difficult to fully grasp in person. They play with space, light, and dramatic structure. Shulman had a rare ability to translate those qualities into images—capturing not just the buildings, but their atmosphere.
