Some final pics of this creative joy thank you again @forecastpublicart for including me as an artist in this year's Joyful Mural Park. It was such a pleasure to be apart of bringing life and activation to this creative playground! Thank you for all who played and came to support me. Im only trying to get better about being less shy about my work! Here’s to growing and sharing and discovering Big Circle Claps 🙏🏽🥳🌟
Hi All! I am very excited to announce my largest public outdoor projection installation that will be debuting tomorrow and running through the weekend. I have been woking with @publicartstpaul for the second year as a fellow apart of their projection cohort that begin with project night light in 2021. This time ramping up to conclude the amazing Wakpa Triennial festival that has been featuring some revolutionary public art installations this entire summer.
My video piece, "Meditations on the Mycelium within" will be running along with 6 other artist's who will be debuting their work as well.
It has been an honor and a privilege to learn and have access to this technology that has propelled me in creative visioning, film production, projection mapping, lighting design, content creation using AI, motion graphics in 3D + 2D, Modular node based animation, installation, and most importantly public engagement for community empowerment.
This is just the beginning of launching all that I am and sharing my gifts of light with the world. I intend on working vigorously in this medium and being a change maker in forging creative technology as a field accessible and co collaborative with artists of all mediums. I am dedicated to public art, meaning free and for all. emphasizing on shared abundance, positive action, and healing. Please come out this weekend starting tomorrow. You will find information on the 5th slide for the event. It will be at Rice Park in downtown Saint Paul Sept. 14th, 15th, and 16th. Our grand canvas will be the historic George Latimer library. It truly will be a site to see!
And PSA for all those interested in the medium, I will be gathering information from folks of many disciplines and backgrounds to launch a co collaborative collective interested in teaching sharing and growing in this field. I will announce more about this later this fall. Its focus will be new media technology, shared by its creators for its creators interested in education, creation, and social enterprise in new media! Cheers xx Booscapes

It is my Beloved’s birthday! 😍🥰😍🥰 my darling sweetie!Born a socialist and thee original bisexual! How lucky I am to love youuu. I have seen you grow from dancing in backyards, bartending, to being on the big stage, to grad student to associate director. Loving you has made me fall in love with the mundane. Finding joy and pleasure in a really good espresso, clean sheets, painting our home yellow, to love notes and poetry, to acts of service in friendship, to feeling with our toes, visiting Magers and Quinn and eating Thai foods, travel, dreaming, doodling, project runway, sooo much pasta, shaking ass, in between zoom naps, dosas lime pickle, lentils, cancer mooon my Pisces Venus saying Yes! you Gayatri are my best bestest friend. SO I BEEN HOLDIN ON TO THIS ONE FOR A MIN BUUUUUT FCK DA ALGORITHIM hahahah. I am an official Lighting Designer At Paisley Park!!! Yea yea yeaaaaa that’s right!
I’ve been getting to work at THE Prince’s House, current museum, black archive and active event space. Im overjoyed to be able to learn, create, and refine my technical lighting skills in this space! I am soaking in all that divine magic in them walls, I walk past his collections, his Grammys, the sky blue walls, that transparent glass ceiling, pet doves iykyk, I have to eat pescatarian at lunch and overall just honor this sexy sexy black queer man. I am Over Joyed And Aligned! Cause Prince is a mirror to me! I made a short film inspired by him in 2018 with FilmNorth when I first began creating. It was about Black Boi inspired by Prince and well that’s Me. Crazy how things are full circle. Gratitude to all Most High, BOOSCAPES 🌟🙈💛💜
So the cats out of the bag lmao! 😻 But I am excited to personally announce that I have been selected to be one of the four elected artists in this years cohort for the Arist in Residence program at Twin Cities Pride. This amazing opportunity grants me two years of studio space, a booth at Twin Cities Pride, two bi anual opportunities to teach workshops, a solo exhibition show up for a whole month, and two group exhibition shows!
In all my career as an artist I have never had a studio. I am so excited to make permanent works, have time to experiment with other mediums such as collage, glass making, found object sculpture, and even moreee light installations as well as analog photography. To be celebrated at the intersections of my identity is truly a gift!
These photos were taken back at Studio Harlem this past December at the Tom Lloyd exhibition room. Tom Lloyd was an artist, activist, and community organizer who fell in love with urban infrastructure such as street lights and traffic signs. He was an early pioneer of electric light as an artistic medium. Tom Lloyd was redefining the role of the black artist in the 60s working with an engineer at Radio Corporation of America as he created installations and he was known for advocating for a relationship between abstraction and blackness. Drawing inspiration from him it is an honor to announce this during black history month as a Black Trans Queer creative technologist. To have time and resources decided to my art making, to create tangible works not out of scarcity nor survival. I have worked so hard for this and I can’t wait to see all the ways my artist identity and practice will expand. Love to my ancestor team and my radical bravery to sticking to this artist thing ❤️
We are proud to announce the 2026-2027 Artist in Residence lineup for Twin Cities Pride. These 4 artists will be in our cohort for 2 years and each have a studio at our Pride Cultural Arts Center.
At Twin Cities Pride, we believe that in the darkest moments in history, art becomes even more essential. Art tells the story of our community. It captures our joy, our grief, our resistance, and our love. It helps us process what we’re living through, explore our emotions, and imagine a more just and vibrant future.
We cannot wait for you to experience the creativity and power of this year’s cohort. Join us in celebrating these incredible artists and the vital role art plays in shaping our collective future.
This Arts & Culture Vibrant Storefronts is funded, in part, by the City of Minneapolis Arts & Cultural Affairs Department.
