RELEASES YOU MAY HAVE MISSED: Singles, April 2026
April delivered up plenty of singles that would act as a precursor to what would be some standout releases, with the likes of GILT, 100 Demons and ZOMBIESHARK!, all dropping singles from their upcoming, or now released records. Others such as ChrryObsessed teased at what may come from possible future records on “To You, Whom I Love The Most“, while others in the form of Bitcrush made their stellar debut on “DEFECTIVE“. In among all of this, there were plenty of standout singles we didn’t get to spotlight in April, which we’ve rounded up below.

LIVE REPORT: Incineration Festival 2026
@incinerationfestival is London metal’s way of kick starting the summer. Taking place across five storied venues for the heavy scene – Roundhouse, Electric Ballroom, Underworld, Black Heart, and Devonshire Arms – it’s twelve hours of wall to wall metal, including death, black, grind, punk and progressive styles. We had a fantastic day attending and covering the event.

Ten Bands to Catch at Desertfest London 2026
With @desertfest_london quickly approaching again this year, Camden prepares itself for another weekend of formidable, fuzzy riffs. Desertfest 2026 delves deeper into the scene’s riff-heavy roots with stoner rock staples, @clutchofficial , and occult rockers, @greenlungband , taking the main headliner spots. With an overwhelming list of bands and numerous splits across stages, we’ve sifted through the walls of sound and identified the acts that we think are essential ingredients in this year’s ritualistic weekend. Before the first candle is lit and the initial riff descends, consult our unholy recommendations for this year’s Desertfest.

LIVE GALLERY: Death of Youth, Mountain Peaks, Datura, Rosary, Not Like This & Living Spite at the Fiddler's Elbow, London
@fiddlerselbowcamden in Camden hosted a high-energy @nosegrindevents show featuring a diverse six-band bill that ranged from the raw aggression of @livingspitehc to the punk-infused rock of @notlikethisuk . The night progressed through the dreamy emo soundscapes of @rosary.uk and the gritty deathcore intensity of @officialdaturahxc . @mountain.peaks.band provided a vulnerable "moomin skramz" performance before headliners @deathofyouthukhc closed the evening with a blistering full-album playthrough. Their set concluded with a fierce display of conviction, pairing their music with urgent political calls for global justice and a sharp critique of right-wing rhetoric.
