Hello new friends! Thanks for dropping in, I just want to re-introduce myself + B&G to all those who recently followed us or liked our posts. 😊 My name's Joy and I'm the Founder of Bone and Grey Bridal. I'm a Canadian-Chinese gal who moved to Singapore 6 years ago to pursue my career in the tech startup space. I started this little passion project of mine after being burnt out from the startup life and when I was looking for my own wedding gown - one that was minimal, modern, and one I didn't feel guilty buying for an one-day event. I visited various bridal studios in Canada and Singapore, and felt that something just didn't feel right. I hated how I didn't know what I was seeing going into a studio and not knowing the prices either. After talking to my friends who went through the same hurdles, I knew something was missing in the bridal market. We, as past, present, and future brides, definitely don't need to spend more money on our weddings. So for us here at Bone and Grey, our goal is to keep your gown costs affordable so it helps with your overall budget. We design, source, and produce our gowns from small studios in Singapore and China - to keep batches small and of quality, and to achieve reasonable prices for both our seamstresses and our brides. I know making a big purchase online can be daunting. Therefore, B&G offers complimentary shipping with tracking included. Plus, exchanges and return shipping costs are also on us! There is a small restocking fee should you decide to return your gown, or get the full refund when you opt for credits. We've just finished launching the 12 gowns of our Capsule Collection, with our accessories collection coming up, and an evening dress collection in the horizon. SAVE THIS: How to measure yourself for our gowns (Grab a friend edition 👯) This will be helpful if you're buying gowns / dresses online from other brands as well! We get asked this a lot so here's a comprehensive way of measuring the 3 key measurements (bust, waist, hips) for our gowns. Once you have recorded the measurements, you can compare it against our gown size guides to find a size that will fit you comfortably! What you'll need to get started: 1. A measuring tape 2. Wear tight gymwear or wedding day undergarments 3. Wear your wedding shoes to know your overall height 4. Get a friend or your partner to help! **Important: always measure 2-3 times and choose the middle or the larger of the measurements for ease and comfort. Measure in centimeters for more accuracy. Take note of how your body changes throughout the month as well! ✨ But don't worry - for every order, we will double check the sizing with you BEFORE we ship it out, and we'll make recommendations based on the fabric if needed. The gown, veil, suits, dinner dress, after party dress. — I’ve always dreamed of wedding looks that are classy, simple, and elegant… but still meaningful and affordable. The wedding world makes it so easy to spend a lot of money you worked so hard for, just like that. I didn’t want that. I wanted to feel like myself, look great, be comfortable, and still have meaning in every piece without overdoing it. I got really lucky finding @boneandgrey , a small studio in Singapore that felt so me from the start. Simple, pretty, great quality, affordable… and the owner @theshbang puts so much thought into every piece she creates. She brought my veil vision to life, and somehow made it even better. I knew I wanted something personal, so I asked her to sew my name, Julien’s name, and our wedding date onto it. Something we can keep forever, something that holds the memory of that day. She also suggested doing a layered veil, short and long at the same time. I was honestly not sure at first because I had never really seen it before (very limited reference haha). I was still thinking about it until D-1… but turns out, I LOVED it. Thank youuu @theshbang 🫶 For Julien, our family tailor @chicarusmini created his suits. She was also behind my sister’s wedding dresses and made my temple and tea ceremony outfits too. Her magic hands, and her team who are always so reliable and accommodating… really special to have them be part of this journey again. For the dinner and after party, I went for something simple and super comfortable from @lulus @lulusweddings . I wanted pieces I could rewear, not just for one occasion. And I actually wore the dinner dress again for our ROM anniversary last month… which made it even more special. I was also inspired by @dhemylarasati , who wore a simple, very affordable gown from an online store for her wedding and still looked stunning. It reminded me that it’s never about how much you spend… it’s about how you feel in it 🤍 📸: @prasetyaadrian

Took a Sunday morning to reminisce about one of the best days of my life. Lately I’ve been too busy enjoying life offline, but this app is still my digital diary, so I’ll slowly upload photos for the memories.
