The Push came to Bone Digital with everything converging at once: 40th anniversary. New brand. New strategic direction and big ambitions for launch. With four distinct audiences all arriving at the same landing page without any path forward, the old navigation was built around how the organisation thought about itself, not how its users thought. The new site asks a simple question: who are you, and what do you need? Four colour systems, carry the user through as a wayfinding signal. Each user arriving somewhere built specifically for them. Within weeks of launch, daily traffic had effectively quadrupled. In the first tracked period post-launch, the site recorded a volume of users that would have taken the previous site several months to reach. The 67.7% bounce rate, where the majority of visitors were landing and immediately leaving - collapsed. The new site records 6.39 pages per session from active users. Visitors who arrived curious were now staying and exploring, moving from the homepage through to Programs for Young People, Music Training Workshops and core content. Post-launch Google organic became the primary traffic source (unusual for a site migration) which typically causes a temporary SEO dip. This one didn’t. The site launched stronger in search than it left. → thepush.com.au @thepushau

@queenwoodschool is one of Sydney’s leading independent girls’ schools, with a long history and a newly refreshed brand by @sentipartners . We were engaged to rebuild the website into a modern, mobile-first digital experience that reflects both academic excellence and the strength of their community culture.

The @theequalityinstitute engaged Bone to deliver a new website with a dual purpose: bring their reimagined brand to life, and unify a fragmented digital ecosystem into a single, coherent platform. With the new brand, visual direction and design led by our friends at @tcykdesign , our role was to shape the technical strategy that could hold it all together. EQi’s thought leadership, advocacy work, and education offerings had grown over time across multiple systems, each serving a purpose, but collectively creating friction for both users and the internal team. Together with TCYK and the team at EQi, we built a more scalable and user-centred way to deliver learning and content by simplifying a complex tech stack, improving content management, and creating clearer journeys between reading research and engaging in paid education. Just as importantly, the platform was designed to support future growth without introducing technical debt. The result is a site that better reflects the goals of the organisation. One that helps EQi connect with a global audience, grow its education program, and support long-term impact in gender equality and social change.

@thereservecellar is one of Australia’s most premium wine retailers. Located inside Brisbane’s Emporium Hotels, it’s home to some of the rarest wines on the market. Our team at Bone Digital was brought in to optimise the Shopify platform, designed by our friends @groundcrew.com.au , to really get it moving. Our first step: simplify the stack. We stripped out redundant tools and integrations to lift the baseline performance and improve stability. Then we begun delivering new features for users: A Past Events module so guests can relive experiences that make The Reserve Cellar more than just a shop. A Free Shipping progress bar that rewards customers as they browse. Smarter filters, including Out of Stock + Price on Application toggles, to help customers find what they want faster. Fresh pages for the Wine Bar and Cellar Door, capturing the in-person atmosphere online. A reworked navigation with flexible CTAs and images, future-ready as the business grows. Better usability, sharper performance and all round great work from the team at The Reserve Cellar delivered wins in September: +34% average order value +11% gross sales +13% average order quantity It’s a hint of the shape of things to come for reservecellar.com.au!

SJ Group isn’t small. 75 years. 40+ countries. 14,000+ people shaping cities, infrastructure and industries at scale. Our brief was to make the digital experience feel as ambitious as the work they do. Easy to navigate. Easy to grow. Built for the future. At Bone, collaboration is in our DNA. Partnering with teams like Era-Co to wrangle complex requirements and align deep stakeholder groups is essential. We built a dynamic mega menu that manages complexity. Smart search that meets users where they are. Scroll-based interactions that guide. A future-ready CMS powering 40+ markets. Multi-language. Multi-site. Multiple possibilities. We love it when a plan comes together and that’s what happens when strategy, design and development move as one.

@goodmaintenance have taken what’s often a frustrating, impersonal experience and made it refreshingly easy, dare I say, fun for builders and property managers. With a playful new brand from @steve_gavan , we started the project the way we always do: by Shaping the outcome. Together with Ben Capuano and the Good Maintenance team, we mapped out a scalable digital experience to match their ambition, and bring the character of their business to life. The result? A story-driven, component-based platform that’s built to grow. Some highlights: - A Scrollytelling UX that fuses video, illustration, and animation (cheers to @stephenelliget for the beautifully crafted Lottie work) - Sanity CMS, tailored to let the team build content block by block - Fully headless architecture, deployed via Vercel, with custom page builder functionality - HubSpot integration, animated galleries, and flexible media modules to keep things dynamic What started as a group of hardworking tradies has become a modern, values-led business, and now with they have a platform to match.

How did we build a digital platform that worked harder for the audience of the @humanrightslawcentre ? We started with the foundations. Their existing Squarespace site had become bloated and difficult to manage, limiting their ability to adapt and scale. We migrated the site to WordPress, replatforming the entire experience and giving them the flexibility and control they needed. We built a content-first experience from the ground up that promotes discovery, with a persistent sidebar that drives deeper exploration and makes donation pathways more accessible. The site meets WCAG 2.2 standards for accessibility and delivers a lightweight, high-performance interface that balances rich content with clarity and responsiveness. The result is a site designed not just to inform, but convert insight into action.

Accessibility isn’t a plug-in. It’s a principle. For the new kandacare.com.au site, we didn’t reach for off-the-shelf tools like Userway. Not because accessibility wasn’t a priority, but because it was. Overlay solutions are often tacked on at the end. They’re a compliance band-aid, not a commitment to inclusive design. We took a different approach. We created the interface from the ground up with accessibility in mind. We built a custom toolbar directly into the site, giving users specific control over contrast, font size, motion, and a dyslexia-friendly mode. We embedded accessibility into our process from the very beginning. Not as a feature, but as a foundation. Every component was shaped with inclusivity in mind and built to meet WCAG 2.2 AAA standards at launch. It’s faster, more usable, and more cost-effective. But more importantly, it meets people where they are. For Kanda, accessibility isn’t an afterthought.

One of the first launches for 2025 from our team is the new site for @truceproduction.co . With an updated brand by our friends at @studiohiho , the new site design frames up the talent at TRUCE while behind the scenes, we built everything on Prismic. This means simple content updates and less time wrestling with the CMS and fast load times for a video-content heavy site. We integrated a custom playlist feature that allows the curation of selected work to be forwarded to your inbox. The site is filled with detail, from the 3D WebGL loading animation, to the carefully detailed microanimations throughout. And, if you idle long enough, you’ll get to see the credits roll. Take a look through www.truceproduction.co to see the brand, design and technology come together. #development #Prismic #WebGL #microanimations #builtbybone
